What travelers are saying
- Cate CSt. Petersburg, FL59 contributionsThis was such an amazing park. Really wild and natural but with a nice wide boardwalk skirting Tarpon lake. Saw a gator right off along with lots of birds and squirrels. Also a tower for viewing the lake. Others paths to walk, some paved some not. Boat ramp available for $6 parking fee. Great playgrounds and clean bathroom facilities. Lots of free parking. Can’t wait to go back!Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mark H3 contributionsAlways enjoy the new trails in the northern part of the park but the reviews about large rattlesnakes on the path are not exaggerating.Written September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carol ITiny, Canada104 contributionsThere was a good selection of primates, a few birds and couple of alligators. It was a nice little sanctuary but some of the animals did not look very happy. We felt bad for Pongo the orangutan, he had a cement floor and very barren enclosure.
We got a Groupon which kept the price reasonable.Written February 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We shop here to save $$$ when visiting Tarpon Springs & staying at Hotel down the street. They always have specials that are too good to pass up and blow away Publix.Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mel R13 contributionsThe wonderful thing about this museum is that it is easy to find since it is right on a main road! Also, on the weekends they have sales of fruits, vegetables, and other things like honey. The staff at the Museum is very kind and patient, and the museum, those small, is full of wonderful history for the area. Also, they keep adding more things to the museum. A great place for a Sunday afternoon!Written January 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Cherry_WonderdogNew England4,745 contributionsNot only did this place have a triple-turn slide for children, but it was also near the water with paths to walk, stroll, roll, and ride. Some have said that it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends and family. There was a fully covered band shell, active playground, several picnic shelters, and boat launch areas open to non-motorized traffic.
Unfortunately we found that the paths were often too exposed to the sun and long in distance to be worth the effort. Cherry Wonderdog prefers little parks with boardwalks leading directly to the water, not cement paths that turn in circles and give Fitbit wearing professionals an excuse to earn their steps.Written April 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Camden at the beer bar was fun to chat with and they had good beers for us both. I had the Montagne Noir Schwarzbier and my wife had the Southie IPA, Yum! A great place to hang, especially on a weekday when it isn't crowded! Thanks Stilt House!!!Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
