- Alvarez Martinez10 contributionsWe reserved a day here as a family of four, which included the dolphin swim. We spent the entire day having a blast. The fact that the meal was all-inclusive meant that we didn't have to pay more for food or beverages that day.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kristin DToms River, NJ263 contributionsUniversal is not my number one Florida destination, but family wanted to go,. This was the first time I have spent a solid week just at universal parks and I had a blast! Islands was clean and nicely taken care of. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed all character interactions! Comparably it is smaller then Disney parks so you will go around it many times but we got on all the rides we wanted too and had fun!Written August 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marissa T2 contributionsWe stayed at the Hard Rock Orlando and needed transportation back to MCO. We were pleasantly surprised with the communication regarding pick up time and location. When I made the reservation over the phone for transportation, I was told I would receive a text message the day before about where to meet, which was at Abbey Road. Out of convenience, we used the texting service and Marcelle at the front desk was able to tell me how to get to Abbey Road. Our driver, Jose (aka Gonzo) was pleasant and friendly at 7:30am while most of us were still waking up lol. He was great and showed us a few sites and things coming up that he recommended we visit. The bus was comfortable and Harry Potter decorated outside. They do warn you that you are typically picked up about 3 hours prior to your flight departure due to potential delays with traffic, etc. It worked out great and we had time to eat and do last minute shopping.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard CWhitley Bay, UK103 contributionsThis was a once-in-a-lifetime holiday with our kids (15 & 11), both of whom were brought up on Harry Potter books, audiobooks and the movies. Seeing their faces as we walked into Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and the Hogwarts Express will stay with me for a long time!
The attention to detail of all the HP experience is fantastic - Ollivanders, Leaky Cauldron (where we had breakfast), Honeydukes, Borgin & Burkes etc were all awesome to visit and feel like you are truly in that world.
The best part of all are the rides - Magical Creatures was our unanimous favourite of the entire holiday. We went on it 3 times and the queuing time was 40, 70 and 30 minutes respectively. My daughter loved Harry Potter & The Forbidden Journey although I had to ration the number of times I went on it because it did make me queasy. I also love Escape from Gringotts - such an impressive ride and so immersive. On our third go, we sat in the 2nd row and saw a family who had clearly never been on it before duck and scream thinking the images were real!!
The staff are all lovely, very helpful and very conscious to keep the image intact for the children present.
We came back with each child having bought a wand, and having consumed far too many sweets from Honeydukes.
I can't wait to see the French Ministry of Magic in 2025 as part of the Epic Universe expansion - if it is anything like what we experienced, it will truly be magical (pun very much intended!).Written September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jaimee J4 contributionsWe had a really nice day at SeaWorld, polar opposite to our very unimpressive visit to Busch gardens.
I will start with the negatives: parking was $32 and that’s pretty high for basic parking with no cover. The prices have been hiked up very high on food and drinks just like Busch ($23 for just a pretzel and a dippin dots icecream, $23 total for a full day drink cup and the drink stations were few and far between which was frustrating. Most also didn’t have the frozen drink option which was my whole reason for buying it which was disappointing) and to rent a mobility scooter or wheelchair was extortionate just like Busch gardens so I lugged my disabled chronically ill self around the park today on foot and almost passed out at one point from exhaustion and heat but I wasn’t giving them over $100 for a scooter or $30 for an uncomfortable manual chair, that’s daylight robbery and a blatant cash grab taking advantage of the disabled and sick. The shows have also been scaled back since we last visited and were not as impressive.
That being said we still had a pretty good day. Everyone we spoke to was super friendly and helpful. They let our elderly travellers refill their water bottles with cold water from the freestyle drink stations which was really nice and necessary in the heat to keep everyone healthy and safe.
The shows while being scaled down were still very impressive and enjoyable to watch.
The absolute highlight of our visit was the Sesame Street parade! That was such a fun and enjoyable part of our visit and everyone young and old was having a good time.
The performers deserve a raise for putting on such a great show in that heat! They had such great energy and they all seemed to love what they were doing. It was really fun and engaging and even our very tired and grumpy toddler was smiling, excited and enjoying the show. Can’t praise those performers enough for how fantastic they were! We left Busch gardens so disappointed and swearing not to return but our SeaWorld visit we left talking about what a fun day we had and what a great show they put on in sesame street!
Sadly we couldn’t take our toddler in the splash pad area as the sun was out and there was no shade at all, a shade sail over the top to protect the little ones skin and keep them a little cooler would be a great addition but otherwise, that area is really fun and a great addition for the little ones.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LongalionLondon, UK173 contributionsLoved this park for the prettiness and cleanliness, however I’m gutted the Epcot ball hasn’t changed or updated since the 80s. I was looking forward to seeing what’s new, but nowt. I was also surprised how much alcohol they sell in the park in each country.
Did the Guardians and the Galaxy which was worth the 6:55am log on to get on the ride, but being a day pass I would be gutted if I never got on. Used the Disney app which I downloaded in Orlando and bought the tickets on the app and the ride.
Fireworks were great at the end too.
Went to the Space 220 restaurant which was nice but overpriced for the meal and drinks, but it’s for the experience in the end.Written September 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emily RHouston, TX2 contributionsI recently visited Premium Outlets Orlando and was thoroughly impressed. The variety of stores is amazing, offering everything from luxury brands to affordable fashion. The discounts were fantastic, and the shopping environment was comfortable and well-organized. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Clean facilities and good food options added to the convenience. I’m already planning my next visit—highly recommend for any shopping enthusiast!Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FAFNARChicago, IL50 contributionsWe went to the H20 evening at Typhoon Lagoon. It was so much fun. The crowds are much less than during the day. The lines for the water slides were much shorter. The wave pool was warm, the pavement was not hot, and the snacks of Mickey ice cream was ideal. Since evenings in Central Florida are so warm, it was very comfortable going around in a swimsuit. We can't wait to go back next year.Written July 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Katie LLondon, UK66 contributionsLots of shops to choose from. Gets busy so try and go early. If you go later in the day you may struggle with parking in the main car park. We parked over the other side of the road where there are some other shops and found a space no problem. You just have to walk across the road.Written August 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
