The Turkey Lake Service Plaza is at Mile 263 along the northern end of the turnpike. Like most, if not all, of the turnpike rest areas, this stop sits in the middle of the road for easy access. The truck parking is closer to the road and the car parking is nearer to the plaza on both sides. It looks like there are about 70 parking spaces for cars on each side and about 20 spaces for trucks on each side. If you drive an electric vehicle the Tesla chargers are on the north side of the southbound side. The plaza is located to the north and there is a Shell gas station on the south end of the complex. The outside looks fresh with a wavy metal design separating outdoor seating from the parking lot. Inside, it has pretty terrazzo floors and nice restrooms. The inside has several tables in an open space in front of several restaurants like KFC and Nature’s Table. There is wifi and a market. It has a very nice, clean, and open feel to it. It is a nice place to stop for, gas, food, bathroom or to take a break on your journey to wherever you are going.
