- Foodpopup.orgSt. Petersburg, FL168 contributionsWe choose the Glamping excursion. As soon as we opened the tent we were amazed. Very well laid out, very clean, and yes even cool. The sky tends to open like a bowl at night as the ocean pulls the clouds away. We did see several shooting stars and overall super cool. Now I will admit October or in the winter would be a better choice as lots of mosquitoes. I would prefer they cut the grass around the area but they tend to keep it natural. Try the Sutton Rucks dairy about 7 miles away. Fresh made icecream from their cows on the ranch.Written August 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Allen BMuskegon, MI1,236 contributionsA nice little casino. Slots were not to tight, which was nice. They had penney, quarter and dollar machines. They just didn't have a big variety of machines. They had 5+ of the sale thing over and over.Written November 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kevin S13 contributionsSpent about 3 hours hiking around the area. Saw 2 big alligators and tons of birds. We only completed the smaller loop and it still took almost 3 hours. Great walking trails with lots of wildlife.Written February 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Diane KVenice, FL4,582 contributionsInteresting park with numerous life size statues of cattle and cowboys depicting a cattle drive through the town. - EFW2014Woolwich, ME1,528 contributionsLots of different booths selling different stuff. Free samples and the hot sauce tables. Bathrooms and a taco stand. - Chris M. DayHomestead, FL76 contributionsThis was a surprisingly interesting visit. They have a large parking lot here with bathrooms, but the main attraction is the pier that juts out from the northern edge of Lake Okeechobee. I'm sure this Park can be packed on nice warm weekends, but on the morning that I visited (sunny, windy, and cold - in the 50s) there weren't many people here at all.
Another attraction just above the park (high atop the dike / levee) is the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail. It goes completely around the Lake (105 miles), and at this part it's wide and asphalt-paved for many miles.Written December 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kate L61 contributionsThe best playpark in the area by far. It's mostly shaded by trees, there's easy, free parking, the park is split into an area for small kids and an area for bigger kids. It's clean and well maintained. They are currently building a splash pad just next to it which will be an amazing addition to Okeechobee. I haven't used the community pool yet but it looks great from the outside and good value. This place is a must for anyone with kids in Okeechobee.Written July 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ward DSatellite Beach, FL3,412 contributionsLake Okeechobee is sometimes called "Florida's Inland Sea," as it is the largest freshwater lake in Florida and the second-largest freshwater lake bordering the contiguous United States, after Lake Michigan. It is calculated to be 730 square miles in size. The Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail is a 110 mile paved path for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders that encircles the lake. It is difficult to determine how many parks are along this trail or the lake but this particular park is the northernmost one and can be found just south of the 98 and 441 intersection and at the northmost point on the lake. The “park” is a parking lot, restroom building, and observation pier. The parking lot looks to have about 60 spots. The bathroom building was fairly clean. The pier was nice and offered a nice view over the lake underneath a large covered structure built into the end of the pier. There is a little grassy area on both sides of the parking lot and about 6 covered tables spaced around the park. If you get a chance you may want to drive a little along the lake on the shell road to the west. I saw 2 alligators cruising on the water’s surface when I drove along the road. There is a turnaround and a boat ramp at the end. Overall it is a nice place for a rest and a good place to look at the lake.Written April 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
