If I died and went to heaven I would spend the time there like I did at Sholom Park: Walking the formal garden, meditating on the many garden benches along the many paths, and walking and reflecting on the labyrinth.
It is a very well kept peaceful park, worth stopping by if you're in the area.There are many kinds of flowers, trees, and shrubs as well as several short walking trails.

Husband and I took a tandem kayak for a 2 hour trip around the springs enjoying the crystal clear springs along with enjoying the wildlife: monkey's in trees, alligators, birds, turtles, fish and manatees.
There is a lot to do here, from visiting the spring to hiking to mountain bike riding (ok, trail riding ... this is Florida) ... Well maintained park, clean facilities, huge campsites that are private ... 30/50 AM...

The mountain bike trails are OK, but the big news is the magnificent (much better than "awesome") new paved trail stretching 16 miles SW from the Santos Trailhead on US 441 opened in February 2018.
The Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway is the epitome of what a bike trail should be.The asphalt blacktop looks newly paved and is almost perfectly smooth the entire 15+ mile ride.

our son loves this park , there always something to do there , ice skating now , walking trail , love the ducks and wild life .

We'd get in my shorts and jump in and swim around in that cool 73 degree water for about a half hour to chill the body down, get back into my jeans and ride the rest of the trip back to the west Nature Coast.
The park is very clean and the staff does an amazing job helping everyone!

You'll float down the river through amazing emerald green foliage, and you might even see some wildlife.
The course is very narrow for a good bit with lots of trees and branches both dangling overhead and under the water so you must be on the lookout at all times.

Clydesdales, Percherons and Belgium horses each weighing a ton were majestic, beautiful, and huge to say the least.
Florida Horse Park is the perfect venue for all manner of outdoor competition.
