I follow their Facebook page, which is a great source for timely updates & information about upcoming themed events. Some tips: even though the park itself is all astroturf, the dirt road leading to the park can get really muddy (so be careful wearing nice shoes!); they do have a good amount of seating available, but we like to bring our own little folding chairs so we can sit wherever we like/social distance; you can register your dog's vaccine information online ahead of arriving, making the check-in process much quicker - especially when you've got an excited pup who wants to go play!Written June 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Eric, the owner, was extremely helpful in assisting us with exactly what we needed. He went above and beyond, even helping us save a day of rental cost when he knew the weather was going to be too bad for us to use the cart. He was friendly, professional, helpful, flexible and responsive. Customer service like this is becoming more rare and it was such a breath of fresh air to work with a customer-focused business. - stevefZ6437MHColumbia, SC110 contributionsWe loved here in the here years ago and Pete's was open then and hasn't changed very much. Eclectic and fun Atmosphere to enjoy a beverage or four. Very easy walking distance from several hotels and plenty of AB&B's. We stay with friends about 4 blocks away and enjoy the nightly "parade" of bicycle and golf carts moving down the street with some interesting sights. We love the regular crowd at Pete's and they will welcome you as well. Lots of fresh produce, baked goods, plants, etc. Depending on weather and time of year, it can be small or quite big and busy! We booked lessons for our children for 2 days while we were on vacation in Jacksonville. The shop is a short walk from the beach & there is plenty of parking. There is an awesome coffee shop in the store so between the smiles, sun & service, you basically just want to hang there all day. We will definitely be back again. Every one who loves to dance (and who doesn't enjoy dancin) will enjoy Dance Trance: a dance fitness class that teaches you to shake, shimmy, jump, spin, and move those hips. In these hour long classes, you do not need a dance background as you follow the instructor's choreographed steps toward better health. Since attending Dance Trance I have lost weight and clothing sizes without dieting. I noticed that the attendees come in all shapes, ages, sizes, and backgrounds. The classes here are so fun that you don't want the hour to end. Dance Trance is now part of my life as everything else I do seems to revolve around taking classes. I also take classes while on vacation as Dance Trance has multiple studios world wide... Owned by Atlantic Beach locals mother and daughter partners, Michelle and Whitney Toomer, who have worked hard to bring a new type of shop to the area. In the mix you will find many local offerings such as Shrubs by Congaree and Penn, and candles made by a young woman from St Augustine. Look out for the many events they offer such as Sip & Scrap and various artist pop up shops. This is my go-to for repairs or one-of-a kind gifts.
