    Trip cancelled due to anticipated hurricane
    We had a Craigcat tour booked for a family of 4. To our extreme disappointment, a tropical storm/hurricane was anticipated to make landfall right on the west coast of Florida right at the point of our trip, making our road trip down highly unsafe and highly likely resulting in the Craigcat tour being cancelled. Backwater Adventures were brilliant about it and cancelled the booking for us, as all our other plans had been thwarted/cancelled by the anticipated storm. We'll definitely be re- booking with these guys when we finally get the opportunity to visit the Everglades.

    Gators Paradise
    The water was unusually high for the time of year so the bird spotting was limited due to the lack of wading birds. However what an experience. Kayaking through the mangroves and growth of the Everglades was absolutely a once in a lifetime experience. Justin was great and we saw plenty of gators and a couple of manatees. 100% recommend.

    Good fun worth every penny.
    Dylan was a great tour guide. He made a lot of effort to make sure we understood how to operate the boat and safety issues. Driving through the mangroves was a fun experience and trying to maneuver around them and not crush into them was a hoot. LOL
    2 1/2 hours was the perfect amount of time for this adventure.
    We definitely plan to do this again when our friends come down from the north and are looking for something adventurous to do.

    As advertised - great family experience!
    We went with our 10 and 13 year old boys. Everything was super easy and as advertised. Captain was great and we were actually ahead of schedule so he took us down into some of the residential areas and told stories about the houses in the area. PLENTY of shells to be found. We even found a huge conch near the woods. Definitely recommend.

    Gorgeous Day
    Tye was an awesome tour guide and showed us Florida’s best. Our group had the boat to ourselves and the tour was so fun. Such an amazing ecosystem

    5th time with this company. Always a little different scenery and very educational! These men know a lot about the area and the environment.

    very enjoyable
    The last day of 2023 was highlighted for us by this very pleasant fishing trip originating from the Tin City area port.
    We received a partial gift certificate for this trip bought in Costco. Making reservations on line the system prohibited us from applying it. We called but nobody responded likely due to the holiday season. We left message and called right after Christmas again. We were told that gift certificates indeed cannot be applied online but adjustment will take place during the registration.
    That indeed eventually happened but with some difficulties. So beware, call or make arrangements in person if you have a gift certificate.
    The fishing cruise was very pleasant. The staff was helpful and friendly. You are provided bate and gear. Everybody caught some fish so the choices of sites were apparently good.
    You need to bring your own snacks and drinks.

    Wonderful
    Just a wonderful experience from start to finish. Andrew, our captain had a wealth of knowledge and went far beyond with his guided tour. Well worth the visit.

    Knowledgeable tour guide
    We had a great time with Mike, who we dubbed Uncle Mike! He was fantastic. He was informative and friendly. He even provided cold water for us after our air boat tour. He made us feel comfortable and was genuine.

    Eco Adventures boat tour is a must do while you are visiting Marco Island!
    Our family of 6, had a great morning trip with Captain Jeff and first mate Michelle. Jeff was very knowledgeable of the Marco Island ecosystem and pointed out several bird species and told us about how they caught their fish to eat. We also got two dolphins to ride our wake and enjoyed watching them surf behind us. Stopped on an island and enjoyed shelling and gathering small pieces of driftwood. A delightful morning! Definitely recommend this family outing!

    Plenty of dolphins at sunset
    This was one of the best boat tours we have done! Saw alligators, manatees and plenty of dolphins. Captain Storm took good care of us, not only explained a lot about the area but also is a great entertainer! We would go again.

    Active Day of Fishing
    Friendly staff with good knowledge of the fisheries. Kept the group on fish throughout the excursion.
    Tackle was not sufficient for big fish.

    Great paddle with Sean
    We enjoyed a great Sunday morning paddle with Sean! He shared information about wildlife and led us through the mangrove tunnels. And we saw dolphins! We paddled at a nice, easy pace, which was perfect for our group. Thanks, Sean, for a great experience!

    Magical Experience
    Kate was a terrific guide -- we enjoyed the boatride, the shelling and frolicking with the dolphins! We even saw a shy Manatee!

    Very Professional and Courteous.
    I have never been on a head boat with such courteous, professional, and helpful staff than I did this past Friday on the "Sea Flight". Captain Alex and First Mate Fletch were super knowledgeable, approachable, and very professional w/ all aspects of this six hour trip. I look forward to booking with them again.
