What travelers are saying
- Luciano I5 contributionsThis garden is breathtaking. The specialty tours put everything in perspective. With so much to do in Naples, this is a must.Written May 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rick LWadsworth, OH4 contributionsTook the boardwallk trail in late April, right before the rainy season. As a result, we were able to see gators staying cool in close proximity to a number of wading birds and the occasional racoon (non-rabid - normal for these to be out in the day). Trail is well maintained, and because the sanctuary was not overly-crowded, my wife and I enjoyed true peacefulness while observing nature.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- EssexboyAsfordby, UK405 contributionsIt's a beautiful pier where you can walk to the end of it and watch the fishermen catch local fish. You can also see Dolphins swimming, which is awesome.Written May 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mom_of_teenagersWasaga Beach, Canada211 contributionsGreat beach. Get there early and rent an umbrella and 2 lounge chairs $30 for the day. You are 20 feet from the water and 50 feet from a canteen, washrooms, parking etc. Bring quarters or a credit card for parking.Written May 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JED53Maryland187 contributionsMy husband and I have visited the museum and it is world class. The collection is amazing and the docent really know and love their "jobs". We recently took an 8 hr class there, Automotive Engines 101, and it was excellent. We learned a lot about the basics of engines and now the various systems relate to each other. Great teacher, he made it fun. Highly recommend.Written May 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lolly’s LookNew York City, NY12,783 contributionsThis is our absolutely favorite beach. It is a hidden gem with white soft sandy beaches, and turquoise calm water. You are truly in Paradise here.Written April 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tom MNorthville, MI215 contributionsImpressive zoo for not being in a major city. One thing I noticed is how the animals really show themselves, unlike other zoos I've been to. They honey badgers were running around, ant eaters were up and in front at the fence, girraffes were engaging, apes and chimpanzees literally put on shows of their swinging abilities everytime one of the boats drifted by their islands. The boat tour was great. Shaded pontoon boats go out every 1/2 hour or so and take people around an inland lake with islands housing different animals. This allowed people to basically see animals without walking around, and the animals tend to put on a show rather than hide away. Great way to view animals and its was included in the price of the ticket. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because some of the enclosures seemed a bit small or not integrated into the landscape. The lions for example didn't seem to have much space, though it did somewhat keep them visible to people as they didn't have far to roam. Some of the enclosures weren't as "natural" as I've seen in other zoos and were more contained with fences or walls, rather than natural berms or landscape features that kept the animals safely away from people but gave the illusion that the enclosures were natural. My 2 and 5 year old had a lot of fun for a nice 2 hour visit. Parking was free and easy too. Kids also enjoyed the nice playground with modern equipment.Written May 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Elaine BPoole, UK162 contributionsWe jumped on the free shuttle to the beach and this was great - although it's not that far to walk, it was hot and we had lots of stuff to carry! The beach is lovely and very suitable for families. Very clean and lots of space.Written May 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mimaalsolNaples, FL209 contributionsI always enjoy visiting here to learn about the estuary. It's a beautiful place to visit. - juaniB9 contributionsMy favorite area in downtown Naples! Feels more authentic than 5th avenue, has lots of food choices with better outdoor seating, and the retail is less touristy.Written May 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- skychaserCalgaryCalgary, Canada940 contributionsWe did an evening tour of the waters of the Conservancy of SWF - highlight was watching variety of birds coming into the island to roost for the evening. - Frank Procopio The Naples AgentNorth Naples, FL97 contributionsOne of the best places near North Naples to go get some hiking in and enjoy nature. If you are visiting SW Florida and looking to see some alligators then this is the spot to go. Not to mention this is a free activity.
