Pleasant sandy beach with provate parts. Water not always clean. Toilets are on a distance. Good service.

The boardwalk is a great way to get around, without using the regular streets. Renting a bike is even better! So much to see… The boardwalk is wide, for walkers and bicycles. plenty of sidewalk breaks to get you back over to the main streets. Very clean with plenty of wall space, to sit, if you need a break. Most beach hotels have boardwalk access.
Down by Ocean Drive there are playgrounds, volleyball, and workout equipment, on the boardwalk. Lots of beautiful park area, to sit and watch, or enjoy a little picnic.

When you hear about Art Deco you imagine something like Glazgow, Vienna or Prague. Alas! it is far from, but still nice

Clean, safe, open pier to walk out and get some pictures of the ocean, Fisher Island, and the beach to the north.

It’s a must if you’re in LA . Can’t wait to go back and enjoy the view. It’s extraordinary- every single person should go to LA and see it

Fascinating in a strange way. The desparation of the times are evident. The pictures could use a renovation but the statues speak for themselves.

Tons of dining options, great atmosphere and fun to just walk thru even if you don't shop or stop to eat.

The Museum is absolutely beautiful - it’s a beautiful former synagogue - and we visited when Martin Kreloff’s art was being displayed - really vibrant and thought-provoking!!

But the real “meat” of this review is the walking tour led by Howard Brayer!! WOW!! Truly opened my mind in so many ways!! As a Jew, I feel a new and deep connection to Miami because I realize how much Jews contributed to building this city and how much we continue to make it what it is today!!

The walking tour covers a lot of rich history - kosher restaurants, kosher hotels, kosher butchers, Jewish bookstores, synagogues - that used to fill the streets of Miami and South Beach - that no longer exist!! Without Howard’s route - I would have had NO idea!!

Howard is SO knowledgeable, SO kind, fantastic at giving directions, ensures that participants get shade while walking!! He reads poems written by Jewish poets during the tour that truly paint a picture of what Miami was like at the height of Jewish life there!!

You can ask him anything and he’ll have the story!!

Definitely book a walking tour when you come by the museum!

(Included: a couple photos of the inside and the outside of the museum + a really fun stop on the walking tour!! There’s a giant Star of David on the ceiling of what is now a South Beach Surf Shop!! It used to be the Miami Sephardic Jewish Center!!)

We walked to the marina from the 5th street and spent four hours watching the yachts, incoming cruise ship, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner in an outside diner

12th street is a nice street! BUT the Google map description is incorrect. It is mostly a residential street. It’s true that there are businesses where 12th street intersects Washington Ave, Collins Ave and Ocean Drive but these businesses and restaurants are not particularly exceptional. Furthermore it’s not a “lively street” like Española Way or Ocean Drive as the description makes it sound; don’t be misled!

The Art Deco Welcome Center and Gift shop at Ocean and 10th Street is a wonderful stop for information and gifts. They have everything you need....unique Art Deco info, gifts, hats, shirts, custom travel books, and Jeremy's hands-on help with choosing items is very worth the stop.

Parking across the street was only $1 per hour compared to other lots closer to more popular beaches. From the lot to a spot on the beach near the water took less than 15 minutes.

Soft white sand, warm calm waters and a clean beach plus a lot less people made this an enjoyable place to relax.

Lifeguard stations were manned. Closer to the street were the volleyball courts and public restrooms (not the best condition or smells inside).

If one wants a quieter beach experience then I suggest the North Miami Beaches over mid or south.
