Miami Shopping Guide

Miami is considered the gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, but this global hub has grown from a cruise capital into a shopaholic’s dream, with tourists (and celebrities) flying in solely to hit the well-stocked shops. While many equate Miami more with flip-flops than high fashion, stylish shops from some of the world’s most celebrated designers have slowly sprouted up everywhere from former warehouse districts to sleek outdoor malls. But don’t think that means you can’t snag a good bargain. Whether you’re on the hunt for haute labels or hard-to-beat deals, here’s where to look when making your way around Miami’s major shopping districts.

Downtown & Brickell

Home to swanky hotels, sky rise-heavy Brickell’s latest resident—the billion-dollar Brickell City Centre—has transformed Miami’s financial district into a world-class shopping destination. Stroll through the mixed-use shopping center, home to three blocks of shops like Sephora and Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as the city’s first Italian food hall, La Centrale. Start your evening admiring skyline views with cocktails at Miami’s 40th floor rooftop bar, Sugar, or head to another one of Brickell’s dining destinations, Mary Brickell Village, where restaurants range from fast casual Shake Shack to lively Latin Barú. Along Biscayne Bay near PortMiami, daytrippers can dine, drink and shop along the water at Downtown’s Bayside Marketplace.
