What travelers are saying
- helaCape Coral, FL23 contributionsThere should be more signage on where to go to get to the beach.
The walk is 3/4/mile, on a hot day it’s exhausting. Someone posted you can trek through the water to get there, didn’t know didn’t try. The beach is pretty but in that area there’s more beaches that are more accessible and they do charge $10.
Maybe they should do a trolley like lovers key does.Written October 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - newmexjagsOrmond Beach, FL406 contributionsBeautiful beach! The water was clear and they had a boardwalk with a mat so you didn't have to walk through the soft sand. Parking is a few blocks down the road. They charge you $10 and there's a hovering drone to make sure you pay! My husband dropped me and our chairs, etc off at the boardwalk entrance. Not too far of a walk from there for an old fat grandma. No amenities, no bathroom, there is an outdoor shower on the boardwalk. They also had life jackets for kids. Lots of shells which hurt my feet to walk on, wear your water shoes. We picked up a few pretty shells. It was crowded, but not terrible for a Sunday afternoon. In my opinion $10 is too high when they don't even have a bathroom, that I could see. I would come here again, just because the beach is so pretty.Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Suzanne J1 contributionThis small museum houses a wealth of information which is very well presented and gives excellent insight to a multitude of cultures that have impacted Marco Island. I have forgotten the name of the woman who assited us on Wednesday, 9.25.2024 (beautiful wavy blonde hair) but her recommendations and explainations of how the museum was set up prior to entry was very helpful. My boyfriend had wanted to see all the artwork on the outside of the museum prior to entry and I was glad that he suggested it as it gave us a previewed timeline of what we were to see inside. We spent about 2 hours and enjoyed all of it. Exceeded our expectations. Thank you to all the sponsors, voluteers and paid employees at this location - job well done! Highly recommend. - weliketotravelprSan Juan, Puerto Rico5 contributionsWe rented a pontoon boat for a birthday and the experience was one of a kind. Navigating the waterways and being able to explore the islands and nature at our own pace was quite an adventure. We saw many dolphins, collected shells, and just overall had such a nice, relaxing afternoon. We had a few questions from the beginning before booking and Michael was very communicative and friendly on the phone as well as in person. We even called him in the middle of our outing with questions and he was great and patient with us. We will definitely be back for a full day as going out for a half day trip only served to give us a small taste of what there was to explore and left us wanting to explore much more. I highly recommend this experience!!Written October 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kristen PMichigan87 contributionsThe Farmers Market only runs seasonally and is always a hit if you're in Marco on Wednesdays. Located in Veterans Park now (the previous location was temporary), it has fresh fruit and veggies and bakery items. It also has so many different food trucks available to grab a snack or meal. Vendors also sell freshly prepared foods as well as jewelry and plants. It's my fave thing to do on Wed while on the island. Don't forget to try the acai bowl truck. There's always a long line but it's worth the wait, trust me!Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samantha B2 contributionsLove that I have the option to take a ferry boat rather than drive and get stuck in traffic on a one-way street. would recommend this mode of transportation to anyone.great staffWritten July 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - steve CNaples, FL71 contributionsGreat fun for family! Covered basketball courts shielding sun, baci, kiddie park and lower hoops for smaller kids. - TeutonicNightAntioch, IL99 contributionsA number of kayak and stand-up paddle board rental companies deliver right to this park. There's easy access to the water via a boat ramp, and a fair amount of parking, though the parking lot does fill up fast during certain times of the year. Putting in the water from here gives you easy access to the sandbar in Caxambas pass, Dickman's Island, and various other places south of Marco. It would be a long paddle to get to the domes off Cape Romano, but an easy trek via a powered boat.Written January 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gl0baltravelerSaratoga Springs, NY682 contributionsWe are at the restaurant here as guests of friends. I had the chicken and Brie with avocado sandwich and my wife had the fish tacos. My wife said that the fish tacos were the best she had with large chunks mahi mahi in them. The sweet potato fries are great too!Written March 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mr. EasyMount Dora, FL68 contributionsBy coming here you will have many choices to the water and how you would like to experience the island. Rent many kinds of boats or hop on a tour for fishing or touring. They have a huge liner with short and affordable tours with meals. Great for the less adventurous or vulnerable. Their gift shop is huge and complete with fishing gear and bait as well as fashions. You can book in person and ask directly. Not crowded but just right. There's a even a small bar with outdoor patio seating for grabbing a snack/meal or drink after your adventure.Written December 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
