If you are going to the Keys, this is a "must do" on your list. The tour was the perfect length - not so long that you get bored, long enough to get so much information. Genuinely interesting and you can tell the staff cares so deeply.

Good information, interesting site. Our guide, Erik, was super knowledgeable and fun to listen to. We took the train out and walked back for nice views and a bit of exercise

We had the most amazing day at the DRC! We surprised our kids with a Family Splash. We were among the first to arrive in the morning, and we were surprised that it wasn't extremely busy. We were able to have the experience of a lifetime with Talon!

Beautiful, fun, memorable, and affordable adventure for all ages. Went as a family of 5 with two family members over the age of 70 and an 8 month old. So much to see and learn. We took the golf cart tour which was no added cost.

    We saw-
    Large Land Turtles
    Little Racoons
    Parrot Fish
    Feet pedicure fish
    Iguana
    Banyan Trees
    Butterfly

My only recommendation to the visitor center would be to update their educational resources and teachings about the indigenous communities of the Keys. In addition the tour and information was a very white focused/white perspective and would have been much more real, equitable, and education with BIPOC stories and perspective. This includes more information and discussion about the refuge boats that they have on sight. If you are going to keep the boats to show the public it seems important to have information and discussions about what they represent for the people who travel in them.

This was a "bucket" list item for us. So thankful we finally drove the Florida Keys. We walked a short distance out on the Old Seven Mile Bridge and took several photos. Just learning the history and realizing that it was originally a railroad system was fascinating.

It was interesting while driving the new Seven Mile Bridge to see the different styles of the base of the Old Seven Mile Bridge as well. The water is so beautiful and the fact you are traveling over the Gulf/Ocean made it even more interesting.

We did not do the trolley tour that goes to Pigeon Key although that may have been very interesting. Our timing did not work out for it. The trolley tour stand is before you reach the Seven Mile bridge area - on the right as traveling south.

This is definately worth stopping to walk out and see.

Beautiful public beach. Clean large playground, great picnic tables, places with shade. Probably the best public beach in the area for swimming and relaxing.

You have to pay for parking so if you can walk to the beach you should.

We visited this aquarium with little expectations because it looked small and you have to pay for any up close encounters. However, we were pleasantly surprised how much you can touch-they had a tank with adult rays that you could feed (and that gets you very close and wet!) and a separate tank of baby rays that acted like puppies coming up to be pet-that was certainly the highlight of the trip for my tween daughter! There were mutliple sessions throughout the day where a worker (Nora) talked about the animals and she was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every animal she introduced. If you want to pay a little more, you could suit up and feed the rays for an hour, having them literally come up to your face-that looked like a great experience. They were also rehabilitating 2 young manatees to release into the wild, although they weren’t in a tank with glass walls, so not so easy to see. Nice family place to go and lots of shelter if it is raining.

Its about 5 miles from 7 mile bridge. Sombrero light which you have to access by either renting a boat or taking an excursion. Beautiful water and sealife.

Beautiful drive across 7 mile bridge, but especially like biking across the OLD 7 mile pedestrian-bike bridge. It is 2.5 miles each way/ 5 miles total so we ride it twice. No where more beautiful for a bike ride. If lucky you might see sea turtle or sting rays on clear days.

Debbie at Marathon Visitor Center was so helpful & friendly. She not only gave us local suggestions & info but also lots of great advice about our end destination of Key West. Keep up the great work!

We were surprised to find that this state park is not renting kayaks. You need to bring your own or use an outside provider.

The beach is very small, but we enjoyed walking in the shallow water and seeing the hermit crabs,

We went to see the Christmas lights and they did not disappoint. The lights are gorgeous and you walk through the church garden with the statues that are all beautifully decorated. We went twice while we were in town.
