Windley Key offered a birding walk in the early Saturday morning I joined a walk of 12 birders. We arrived before 8:00 AM and the gate was locked. The entrance area is small and 3 cars crammed in to wait for the ranger to open the gate. There is a welcome center with a display of fossils, Flagler Railroad information and items for purchase. Restrooms and a drink machine are here. A large veranda is a nice spot to view the coral quarry and wait for birds to fly over. The trails are nicely marked and maintained. Do consider wearing insect repellent as parts of the walk are near red, black and white Mangroves.

Beautiful place to snorkel. It's incredible! Only about a 30 minute boat ride from shore. This is a must visit. There are many snorkeling boats you can take.

I'm sure this is a very busy spot on the weekends as there are swimming pools and I think a soccer field in addition to the beach area. You can pack a picnic lunch and spend the day if the weather's on your side. A walk in swimmable beach area - actually saw a manta ray & a nurse shark though the high winds hampered visibility for our entire trip. Bring your water shoes!!

The boardwalk was nice. The "sand" was more like a slippery clay. Nice views. Lots of families camped out in the little beach areas.

Lignumvitae Key is located Islamorada, you need a boat to get there. Part of the fun is seeing all the sealife. View all the flora and fauna, birds and wildlife. Because of the pandemic everything is Covid 19 clean, social distancing, masks. The Park has lots to see and due, facilities, rentals.

This is more like a slightly sandy bank on a lagoon. There is no view of the ocean, but plenty of mangroves. It would be a great little swimming hole for kids. I would suggest water shoes as there is some sea grass once the water gets a little deeper. There is parking, a playground, and restrooms.

Had so much fun the last time, had to do it again! Fishing on the Kay K IV with captain Dave Galen and First mate Mitch is the trip of a lifetime! This time around caught our limit of Black fin Tuna, Yellowtail Snapper, and I even landed an Amberjack! The water was amazingly calm, the boat was immaculate and the knowledge and skill of Captain Dave and Mitch was top notch. I STRONGLY recommend taking a trip on the Kay K IV.
    You will not be disappointed!
