We stopped at Rain Barrel Village for the giant lobster and were surprised to find the village of shops behind it. There is parking in front of the building but also a nice lot on the side. The only restrooms I saw were port a potties but it was fine. This was a fun stop on the way to Key West.

Beautiful work in a beautiful space, with a welcoming artist at the helm, and free range chickens and peacocks to bring a smile. We couldn’t help but leave with a few small pieces that we could bring home with us on the plane, and we plan to have at least one larger piece shipped.

The Lobster Trap Art Gift Shop and Gallery on Islamorada Key on The Oversea Highway is a most unique spot to shop. Local artists, including owners Nadine and Glenn Lahti, whose artwork is absolutely spectacular, cannot be exceeded for beauty and fine quality.

I had ordered a framed ceramic tile depicting the Alligator Lighthouse. It was ready and waiting to be picked up. In addition, I also discovered and purchased a framed ceramic tile that depicts the marker in Key West, "Southernmost Point" - this for family members who return there every chance they get - and we all live in Switzerland!

Both of our rustic nautical picture frames were made one at a time, using wood from aged lobster traps collected from local fishermen.

This was an interesting gallery / shop to spend some time at, browsing through the entire place. The proprietor was extremely friendly, and well worth talking to about the history of his store, the building, and the area.

The paintings here were beautiful, bright, and vibrant...perfect for the Keys environment. The staff here was also very friendly, and very accommodating with our browsing.

It was really fun. It is small but there were vendors with fresh, delicious produce, ceviche, tamales, pastries and more. The brew house there is really fun too

This is like no other Sculpture galley that you have ever been in. The Sculptor, Derrick Crossland, creates the most amazing pieces of art out of wood! I am in awe of his creations. This a must see.
