We stumbled upon this theatre while walking around town and decided to take a chance on an original play in an unknown venue. Hoping for no more than a pleasant diversion, we were stunned by the quality of the performance. The director won four Tony awards for the revival of “The King and I” on Broadway, for god’s sake! Not to slight the actors—all were first-rate—and the play was very good. The opportunity to see a production of this caliber in such an intimate setting—even in the last row we could see and hear perfectly—is rare. If you really love live theatre, don’t miss this one!

This venue is fabulous. We love the Ramble concerts and all the Speakeasy series. They are always excellent. My only complaint is the quality of the appetizers at the Speakeasy series. You end up paying $20 per couple for literally a few crackers and dip for VIP status. And most are in the grocery store packages. There are no bad seats for the Speakeasy series, so save the $10.00 per ticket and avoid the VIP seating and the rip off.

While we were in Key West, the captain of the glass bottom boat tour said that this was the best act in Key West. We looked for him for several nights at the Sunset Celebration but could not find him. We finally found out that he is located behind Margaritaville. We made a point to go there one evening. All I can say is that it was really, really weird. The cats do a few tricks like jumping through hoops, but nothing terribly exciting. Dominique has become most of the act. He has some sort of routine that really doesn't make much sense and is in heavily accented English. He has several sayings like "Stay where you are - return to your seat" that he kept repeating. He also just made funny faces and yelled a lot. He does make an effort to involve the crowd and will take pictures afterward. I will say that he was VERY nice when we were taking the photo. If I were already there, I might stop and watch a few minutes, but I would not make a special effort to get there. My husband's comment was, "I'm going to find that boat captain....."
