Beach was beautiful. Nice tram from parking area to Beach. Visitor Center is really nice and a few picnic tables is shade. Check with visiting hours on center. Not always open. Hiking trails are well marked.

Was surprised to see such devastation since it’s been a year and a half since IAN. They are still rebuilding but several public beach areas were still closed.

Took the ferry from Key West leaving about 6pm and arriving Ft. Myers Beach about 9-9:30pm. Seas were calm, and it was a pleasant typical ride on a ferry.
The ferry terminal at Key West has clerks ,rest room, luggage storage counter, lots of seats, and is a ten minute walk to the town center. The terminal at Ft. Myers Beach is a parking lot with a bench or two, all being outside. If you left your car at the parking lot, you are set. If you are depending on public transportation at Ft. Myers Beach , it is a crap shoot. Usually there are 3 or 4 taxis present. When we traveled there were hundreds of patrons on the ferry. We got seats near the ferry exit door (lower deck, port side), so we could be among the first getting off - worked well and we got a taxi. We were told there are nights when carless ferry riders are waiting on those parking lot benches for over an hour because they had no transportation to continue their journey. Ubers are said not to be abundant at Ft.Myers Beach, as the area is still recovering from 2023 hurricane. So give thought to your exit strategy from the boat at Ft. Myers Beach unless you have an auto in that parking lot.

We had a reservation for a sunset kayak trip & arrived about two hours early to take the grounds tour. The grounds and house are beautiful with gorgeous views. Fascinating tour - great opportunities for hands-on activities & the chance to see the layers of the shell mound was amazing. We brought a snack to enjoy before we headed out on the kayak trip, and it was so lovely to sit and eat under the strangler fig. Kayak trip was lovely - very low-key with plenty of time to take in the views and spot wildlife. Both the tour guide and the kayak guide were very knowledgeable and engaging. Both were fantastic at focusing on the specific interests of the group. Highly recommend.

Park is still closed due to hurricane damage. Restrooms and facilities are still closed. Port o potty's are available. Parking is by QR code. Lots of seaweed on beach when we went mid January. Plenty of room On the beach for your beach chair as not crowded. Very north end of island had quite a bit more seaweed on the beach.

A lot of folks who visit fm beach go here. It’s a good place to park if you can get a spot, and there Are better places to eat. Check out the pier though and the public’s beach, try the bars then head south and enjoy the day!!

A foundation of the working waterfront on Fort Myers Beach, Trico is THE place to buy shrimp! It doesn’t get fresher than right off the boat, the staff is helpful and friendly. Great selection of not only shrimp, but also a variety of other local seafood. If you pre-order, they will de-vein and even steam shrimp if you so desire. Take time during your visit to walk down to the dock and see the boats that catch this “Pink Gold”.

This a great place to have your furry friend romp and play in the water. It is heartwarminmng to see all the dogs paly together. It is a little frightning to get to the beach where you'll find happy people with every size dog! Don't dispair, once you've passed the mangroves you'll find a beautiful beach!! Bring water toys, water and poop bags!

Wow this building is great. A cafe, lovely spots to read, beautiful artwork and a great childrens area. Not to mention covered parking for the afternoon rains.

I have three young kids who wake up early and we always look for parks on vacay to fill the early morning before pool/beach time. This park is hidden behind the rec center and baseball field. There is a toddler size park with no swings and a bigger kids park with swings. The bigger kid park looks pretty new and my kids liked it!

Excellent service. I currently live on my boat in the mooring field of Fort Myers Beach. Captain Butch is always on time, friendly and maneuvers his boat with superb skills.
