- LP J8 contributionsThe entire staff was friendly from start to finish. It was a nice little tour of Clearwater and the St Pete bridge. Due to the slight overcast, we didn’t get a chance to catch a view Florida’s incredible sunset, but had an opportunity to see some dolphins! We can’t control the weather so that was understandable. The effort of taking guests to spot dolphins was appreciated. Got to see some baby dolphins on the water even. The captains were great and very friendly! It did rain but there is a covering on the boat so we didn’t get wet at all (unlike the boat we had tried to get on first so we picked right!) highly recommend this one! The island hopping is lots of fun, we got to see a manatee, dolphins, we went shelling on Honeymoon Island and it was great! Captain Nick is amazing, very friendly and very respectful of our time and needs. We were able to go directly to the air conditioned bar on the mid-level and then move on up to have our drinks on the top deck. We thought the service was excellent. I was very impressed with the condition and quality of the boat. The boat was no smoking, which was exactly what we were looking for. - Michelle H2 contributionsWe booked the 12 noon tour on this past Sunday, September 15, 2024. It was a fantastic experience. We enjoyed Captain Scott. By far, this is the best dolphin watching excursion I have been on in the USA. There was at least 12-15 dolphins swimming and riding the wave in the speed boat. It was so fun to see them jump out of the water. Great pics and great speed. This is the best excursion in Clearwater, FL. Captain Aubrey and first mate Sid were awesome and very nice. We had a great time; my three kids enjoyed the boat tour and saw dolphins jump. Dennis our guide was on time, super helpful and friendly, and most of all a wealth of knowledge about the area and wildlife! The cruise took us right up some mangrove and a bird island and we were able to see a manatee right off the kayak! - Alison T1 contributionWe went to Florida for 2 weeks and this activity was our first full day of the holiday and so we wanted to wait until the holiday was over to leave a review (for comparison to other activities).
On the way back to the airport for the journey home we all picked our favourite activity and encounters with dolphins at Clearwater came out as most favourite for 3 of the 4 adults, and second most favourite for the other adult in our group. Excellent value for money, excellent hosting. We only saw one dolphin but that was enough to be able to appreciate these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. The boat ride was lovely and very refreshing in the hot Florida sun. To say how cheap this activity was it cannot be beaten for value! The visit to the island was lovely.
If you don't do anything else, do this trip, you won't be disappointed. I would defintitely do this again. In fact, we were going to book again for the end of the holiday but hurricane Helene prevented us from doing so.
