What travelers are saying
- Toni TNashville, TN3,100 contributionsHurricanes Helene and Milton have impacted major damage on Clearwater Beach, Pier 60, some restaurants, shops, and hotels. Many hotels are open but Gulfview Motel on the Beach is currently closed awaiting reparations. Other closed stores include Pelican Pointe, Waves, and both Celebrity stores. The Sandal factory is now out of business. The shops in the first floor of the Hyatt on the Beach are boarded up. Two of the local Frenchy's beach group restaurants are boarded up for now: Frenchy's Off the Hook, and Frenchy's Cafe. The many eateries that are open display huge OPEN banners. Street parking is open, but the machines are down and payment is via app only. The main public beach parking lot is completely destroyed. One small area of the beach is open with beach umbrellas for rent, but most of the beach is closed, in restoration process. The public concession stand is severely damaged. The area near the entrance to Pier 60 and the playground is open, but teh Pier is closed. Even though several stores and eateries are closed, people are out enjoying the open areas. Debris has been piled up out of main streets, making it easy to walk and enjoy the places that are open. This is a good time to visit Clearwater Beach with fewer people and a more relaxed vibe, part of the beach open as are many hotels and places to enjoy.Written November 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Although they have the sea life and wildlife, it is a rescue station and hospital. Their primary purposes to rehabilitate lots of these animals to release in the wild. But with that said, there are plenty of things to see. The dolphins alone are worth the entrance, lots of stuff to learn so if you have little ones they could be bored.Written August 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robbiek1San Diego, CA11 contributionsA beautiful day with a clean and safe walk. Police presence and security in surrounding areas to make tourists feel welcomed and safe. Love the white sand and the showers when done for the day, as well as bathrooms that were decent and well stocked.Written May 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan GDunedin, FL10 contributionsPerfect venue for a relaxing Friday night. Matt Frick provided the background music. I had Swamp Juice. A fruit infused yum not too dry or sweet or tart. No reservations were required. Only needed for the full tour and wine tasting experience. That's next for me. Little tricky to find but worth the search.Written April 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Lynne Perrault24 contributionsBeautifully renovated small venue theatre in downtown Clearwater offering both wide variety of top notch and lesser known performers. Seats are small and close together with little leg room, as was originally constructed I suppose, but dint let that stop you! - Pat Flakeland, United States97 contributionsNice venue. Went there for a concert. Bathrooms were clean and concessions were available. We were an hour early for our show and the parking lot was already very full, so, we had to walk some distance to the hall.Written January 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
