- jerrys01Bel Air, MD622 contributionsThe Riverwalk permits a pleasant stroll along the Christina River. We stepped out of our hotel and walked both north and south. The southern area is quieter, while the northern area has multiple hotels and restaurants on the land side. This is a great area for photography.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fabian RWilmington, DE60 contributionsWe went whne there was an event, it was crowded and the kids had fun. I guess(based on the experie ce of my 2yo at the time) that it is a good place for kids 3 and over. Lots of different activities.Written August 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Our hotel was less than a 5 minute walk away.Written September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alicia_JAChicago360 contributionsI visited because there are parts of this area that have recently become part of the NPS's First State NHP. The visitor center houses the Passport Stamp. The staff at the visitor center was helpful and the area was beautiful.Written August 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Renata PCollingswood, NJ2 contributionsI like this little zoo. It is very small, but sometimes small is nice. Sit for a while and watch the animals. With large zoos there are more animals, of course, but you tend to pass them quickly, in a crowd, and tick them off a virtual list. Do you really ever watch them? That’s what we did here. We observed the animals, and they were so interesting, how they interacted with each other, how they rested, and ate, and played. It’s a very small zoo. Yes. But it’s a nice small zoo, and it’s across from a lovely park. Bring a picnic, enjoy the day.Written January 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ted DGreenville, DE58 contributionsI was actually involved in the design and construction of this playground as a Rotarian. I know that we cut no corners with either when we had it built. It is a wonderful and safe inclusive playground designed for children with all abilities. Children with all abilities can play together side by side, and there is no cost to use it. I highly recommend the Can Do Playground.Written October 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Coach BWilmington, DE115 contributionsThe stone tower dominates this portion of Rockford Park. Well worth a visit and next month is special. Rockford Tower will be open for the season beginning with the annual Flower Market (May 9th thru 11th 2024). Climb this historic structure and see the Flower Market and the city of Wilmington.
The approximately 100 ft tall tower was originally part of the Wilmington water system. Built in 1902, it provided ~1/2 million gallons of water storage for the city.Written April 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sears and Macy’ Are still operating with Boskov’s as the third anchor. All the smaller spaces seem to be occupied, too. And adjacent to the mall is a Barnes & Noble and a Best Buy. Manageable size, unlike the King of Prussia.Written April 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SambaSanibel Island, FL762 contributionsFirst time to this beautiful park and pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to do a 2 mile walk from the visitor center to the creek. The trail is a little steep but it is paved the whole way, wide and very shady for the longest portion of the trail. It was a hot day but it did not feel so on the trail. Did not see many birds but may have had a lifer sighting of a couple of Broad-winged Hawks.Written July 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SnappleSpiceNew York City, NY647 contributionsThis was a nice little area to take a short hike on a hot day. There isn’t any shade, but the actual education center is a good place to cool off, get some water, and use the restroom. There are a few cute creatures inside as well. I was hoping to take a longer walk on the nearby trail, but it appears to be miles of uncovered bike path, so not really the best for hiking.Written June 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I guess the Center maintains the huge 3 story blind and the Refuge maintains the paths.
There is a huge distance of raised/elevated boardwalk time paths thru the Refuge. It actually includes quite an extensive range of paths thru the marshland/swamps. The paths ways, where we walked, were all well maintained and open to a variety of folks using them from parents w/ small children, bikers, joggers -- it is set up for them all. The walkways are wide enough so it can easily accommodate all the traffic.
A wonderful, and amazingly quiet oasis in the middle of Wilmington. It gives a great counter balance to the busyness of the rest of the city.Written November 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
