Nemours Estate and Grounds will not disappoint. The interior tour allows visitors to see most living areas, as well as view the kitchen/staff dining quarters and the recreation areas in the basement, along with the mechanical rooms. The docents were enthusiastic about the home and sharing their knowledge of the Dupont Family. Home was beautiful and the grounds were spectacular. I've been the Hearst Castle, Newport. Lenox.... and this estate certainly rivals those.

This place was fascinating and on beautiful grounds. I highly recommend the trip.

One could just go to walk along the beautiful Brandywine Creek among old stone industrial buildings and enjoy the day. However, the history, demonstrations and tour guides make this place a real gem. The personal attention and explanations from the guides was marvelous.
The Powder Mill, Machine Shop and Steam Engine Demos were interesting and definitely worth scheduling into your visit.
The "Science Saturday" exhibits were a nice engaging bonus for my 8 & 10 year olds.

We went whne there was an event, it was crowded and the kids had fun. I guess(based on the experie ce of my 2yo at the time) that it is a good place for kids 3 and over. Lots of different activities.

This is simply a fantastic museum that has something for every art lover and historian. The cafe is pleasant, and the gift shop is better than most. Admission is free on Sundays. Parking is a little tricky, just be patient and follow the signs. The special exhibit by e. jean lanyon "The Magic Language" was especially good. Superb classics, great modern works, ethnic, this place just has it all.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, this tour is legit. The tour started with an introduction about different devices that we would use during the tour. Everyone was offered something to use to track paranormal energy in the house. Got lots of responses to multiple questions. Our guides were great. Would recommend this tour.

The museum was closed, but we managed to walk right down to the pier and the sailing ship, which was undergoing repair and maintenance by the volunteer crew. The ship itself is a gilded beauty, typical of 1600's vessels. Worth the time to take a few pictures.

I went there on a Friday and it was free. The person at the desk was helpful when I asked if she knew where I could get breakfast. After breakfast, I can back. There are some interesting older buildings across the street. I spent some time over there first. The museum had a Revolutionary War battle flag that I really liked. I parked at a meter and finding parking didn't seem to be a problem,

This place was wonderful. It was quiet and its not too small but just enough space for the display of abstract art. My brother and I went and we enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly and the entire place was very clean. Very good display of art with a vastness of abstract ideas and creativity.

Inm my very humble personal opinion my above stated opinion says in all here. Museum is located within the National Gurard building which ss closed. Despite numerous attempts in constantly ringing the door bell no one answered thus was a total waste of my time in trying to visit here. All was not lost as we found a nice eatery to eat at close by!
