The Nemours Mansion and Gardens are just lovely. The staff that met us at the entrance were kind and informative. Seeing as that a member of our group was in a wheelchair, they were sure to let us know that a lift in the mansion was out of order, but the elevator was okay. As long as we could make it up five steps we would be okay. They also offered us a ride back and forth to the mansion in a golf cart. The staff in the mansion was eager to interact with us and share knowledge about the house and the DuPonts as we went from room to room. We were even offered bottles of water on this very hot day.

One thing I did not realize was that the mansion closed at 4:30 PM. According to the website it is open until 5:00 PM. We were told that this only applies to the grounds. I wish the website was more specific. Also, the website says that the gardens and grounds are not handicap accessible (just paved roads that run through the property), but this is not completely true. Those paved roads run through some of the gardens so you can see them. I wish I would have known all these things so I would’ve allotted my time appropriately.

Overall, a wonderful experience and I would recommend Nemours to everyone.

Disappointed that an attraction or two was not accessible but made the best of a very nice day. Our intention was just to get the 3 year old grand-daughter out of the house. She enjoys being out in large fields. Packed a picnic lunch and roamed around.
The highlight of her day was Terry on the shuttle. It was her first time on anything that resembled a bus. You would have thought it was an amusement ride. Terry was very kind and we went for an extra trip around the grounds for no reason.
All the staff were extremely friendly and very thoughtful on our intentions to just have our little one enjoy the day and a very good experience. As this was not our first trip the grounds was great and the atmosphere of all was friendly and welcoming.

I really enjoyed this walk. From one end you get great views of the Wilmington skyline. You get good views of the river and plant life on the other side. The area is very commercialized, with restaurants, a children's museum, golf course, and a farmers market. Because it was a Tuesday in March not much was open. Parking lots are available around the area so check out a map first. My only complaint is the public bathrooms were closed. Thankfully the market had some.

we went all the way to the end but it was pretty boring overall. IF we did this again we would get off at the picnic stop and walk around but we thought there might be something special at the "top" but there was NOT.

I loved being back in this theatre again. The performance was Fiddler on the Roof and it was exceptional! The new carpeting, seats, and paint are just lovely. the seats seem a little wider, but don't quote me on that! I loved the experience.

We went whne there was an event, it was crowded and the kids had fun. I guess(based on the experie ce of my 2yo at the time) that it is a good place for kids 3 and over. Lots of different activities.

This is simply a fantastic museum that has something for every art lover and historian. The cafe is pleasant, and the gift shop is better than most. Admission is free on Sundays. Parking is a little tricky, just be patient and follow the signs. The special exhibit by e. jean lanyon "The Magic Language" was especially good. Superb classics, great modern works, ethnic, this place just has it all.

Enjoy baseball and fans in a beautiful park with excellent seating. The Blue Rocks staff keeps you entertained even if the action on the field slows down. Watch for Mr Celery! Lots of food & beverage choices, at lower prices than many ball parks. Reasonable tickets and FREE parking. Try finding that at the big city majors.

Lots of choices for walking paths. Great for kids and adults. Plenty of playground activities. Dogs allowed while on a leash and free bags for feces disposal.
Water available in some areas for dogs as well.

no longer WCL but now is run by Live Nation. Main stage is downstairs, open area. General admission STANDING is typical for most shows. There is a balcony upstairs for additional costs. Drink prices are $$$. $4 for a soda,$8 for a beer, $12 for top shelf. They do have good tribute bands - sometimes for free. I've seen TRIBUTE Tom Petty, Van Halen, David Bowie, Ozzy, AC/DC, etc. and all were very good

I visited because there are parts of this area that have recently become part of the NPS's First State NHP. The visitor center houses the Passport Stamp. The staff at the visitor center was helpful and the area was beautiful.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, this tour is legit. The tour started with an introduction about different devices that we would use during the tour. Everyone was offered something to use to track paranormal energy in the house. Got lots of responses to multiple questions. Our guides were great. Would recommend this tour.

This zoo is definitely the perfect size for ages 5 and under. I took our 4 year old here and we spent about an hour and that was with ice cream and the gift shop. She enjoyed petting the goats. There were lemurs hanging out by the viewing window. We had fun looking at them.

Overall, it was a cute zoo. However, come with a backup plan in mind on what to do next. You’ll be done in a short time.

We visited the DuPont Center and Refuge at the same time -- actually, the are in the exact same area. I guess the Center maintains the huge 3 story blind and the Refuge maintains the paths.

There is a huge distance of raised/elevated boardwalk time paths thru the Refuge. It actually includes quite an extensive range of paths thru the marshland/swamps. The paths ways, where we walked, were all well maintained and open to a variety of folks using them from parents w/ small children, bikers, joggers -- it is set up for them all. The walkways are wide enough so it can easily accommodate all the traffic.

A wonderful, and amazingly quiet oasis in the middle of Wilmington. It gives a great counter balance to the busyness of the rest of the city.
