- Tony JNew Jersey4,075 contributionsI love this beach because it is not as built up or crowded as Rehoboth beach. It is a quieter smaller beach town with less retail space and restaurants than Rehoboth Beach. There are a few nice shops to purchase gifts for children and adults. There are also some good restaurants in town, some (about 5) of which I have already reviewed favorably with at least 4 stars. The boardwalk is only a half mile long and 12 feet wide, which is much shorter and smaller than Rehoboth Beach’s boardwalk, which is longer and wider. This town seems more family friendly. The beach here is also very nice. I love to walk the boardwalk or the beach here.
The town has about 1,000 residents, however, during the summer months some 15,000 more populate the town as vacationers. My only complaint here is the lack of adequate parking during the summer season from May 15 through September 14. I enjoy the September 14 through May 14 Fall through Winter season, which is less crowded.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Deborah HJefferson, MD349 contributionsLoved the small town feel of this boardwalk/beach town. Nice local shops to visit, although several were not open for the season yet. Enjoyed seeing the beach from the boardwalk, as it was too cold of a day to actually walk down to the beach.Written May 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- fiamma11Vienna, VA3,857 contributionsI thoroughly enjoyed this bridge. It is impressive and affords gorgeous views of the ocean and inlet. I would have enjoyed walking it; however, it was really windy when we passed through, both going and coming.Written May 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Lynn SLancaster, PA2 contributionsIt was a cloudy day in Bethany so we decided to check this place out. It is a very nice nature walk but don't expect to spend more than an hour. We took our well-behaved dog and we saw several others.
The nature walk is 1/8 mile to the middle of the wetlands and back on a trail and boardwalk. There were some lookout spots where we saw a few ospreys on their nest.
The teens went inside the nature center and saw turtles and bugs. They talked to the employees who were very nice. There was no cost for anything we did.Written August 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - denmiller2003Ocean City, MD574 contributionsA visit to the Delaware beaches must include a stop in Bethany Beach. Day or night is exciting and entertaining in its own way. We love to stroll "The Boards" at night. There is always something of interest happening in this beautifully maintained and safe community. The beach is nice. The boardwalk is an interesting place to stroll with a variety of shops and eateries. ( We love Mango's!) Don't miss visiting this wonderful beach town when in the area.Written July 8, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- crutt13Pottstown, PA562 contributionsCaptain Jack's is within walking distance of most places near the Bethany boardwalk. It is a bit pricey, and the course is relatively small, but it is well maintained and has some cool features. The holes are easy to moderate in difficulty. It is the perfect size for smaller kids. Ours had fun and didn't get overly antsy since we were able to cruise through it.Written August 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michelle MMahopac, NY288 contributionsIf there is one thing you do in Bethany, PLEASE make sure you visit Bethany Bike Shop!!! These were seriously the nicest most helpful guys ever!!! They totally helped us (me, husband and 4 small children) get situated to take the bikes out! They were incredible making sure that each seat was properly adjusted and all the tires were filled. We ended up getting there later in the day and they were out of training wheel bikes for my little guy, but they went out of their way to help us- found a bike with child seat for my husband and son to get started, then they called us a few minutes later (once the bike with training wheels returned) and let my son give it a try. This is exactly the stress free, relaxing, family bonding that every vacation should have! Thank you Bethany Bike Shop for helping us create amazing memories!!!Written August 24, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- explore_2011Philadelphia, PA92 contributionsWe rent often (and used to own) at this resort. There are a range of properties available for rent through a realty company or on hosted sites like VRBO. We love the shuttle to the beach, two pools and diversions for kids. The grounds are well maintained and get you away from the crowds and bustle of the boardwalk.Written September 19, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Normagi NDover, DE56 contributionsThe spa is relaxing, the staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Loved the mimosas and light snacks. - maizymouseBaltimore, MD18 contributionsIt was super fun playing an Executive course. I had never played on one. The issue is, we are a two player team. We had to wait a very long time for the foresome before us and we played an Executive course and it took over 4 HOURS! It is not the fault of the course, but I would rather play an 18 hole regular course and not be on top of the other people.Written June 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ann3 contributionsKurt the owner is so nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable!
We bought 2 bikes from the Bethany shop, after
renting them. The Interceptor is a great beach cruiser. Kurt explained how to use the bikes very thoroughly.
My husband and I have had so much
fun exploring the Delmarva area on our bikes. The
petal assist is great when you are going against the
wind! I highly recommend Pedego Bike Shop in Bethany Beach and Ocean City.Written May 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
