- cindij66Great Barrington, MA8 contributionsGreat beach for children( 2 & 8)sand bars at low tide, walked out for a long way and it never went over my knees. - Michael C49 contributionsOur docent and I connected by phone as I was about to leave Boston for Old Saybrook. The local historical society owns the Hart House and uses it for a headquarters. Donna, the docent, was friendly, welcoming, and gracious. She told me to expect an hour's tour after a short video, but she was generous with her time. We got almost two hours, and saw the basement, the archive building with climate controlled vault, and the gardens. The Hart House is a gem, one of the town's treasures. And the docent was very knowledgeable and kept our group of ten engaged and curious. Don't miss if in the area. I called for our appointment. I believe the house closes for the winter in mid December, so check first. Well worth the $5 admission fee.Written November 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Michael B192 contributionsJust a beautiful array of goods in this shop. Everything is in superb condition, and the owner is very welcoming. You will find items here that are truly one of a kinds, or from faraway countries. It was a treat to visit this shop. The oldest item is a bell from Italy from 1740. It's in one of the photos I posted.Written April 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

I found the perfect gift for a friend. They had 2 pugs that greeted me, so cute. - Doug K3 contributionsI love this place and have been a regular for 20 years. The Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, very helpful and always ready to tempt with suggestions on things they know you’d like. One may do a quick tour of the front section or a deep browse of the cavernous back. Part of the charm is the comfortable and unstuffy atmosphere, and prices are always reasonable. I’ve found everything from antique tools and hardware to carpets and furniture, and someone is always willing to help lift something on top of the Jeep!Written May 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pollylamBurrillville, RI31 contributionsTypical antique shop. Items were well organized and orderly. You could actually see all items because the items displayed were not cluttered. The “door greeter” was a wonderful, mild mannered dog that never bothered anyone as they were shopping around. The dog was awesome. I would visit again if I were in the area.Written November 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
