The organisers put out a 450m and 750m loop for swimmers, and the water warms up nicely in sunny weather as the lake is relatively shallow.
Also swimmers training in the lake at weekends

This campsite is great for family casual cycling holidays; we cycled with our 8yr old & 5 yr old along the canal towpath most days (also good for walkers and bird spotting - we saw kingfishers!).
... really cute little boat (complete with bunting!) that seats up to 12 people and is staffed by two volunteers who give you lots of information about the history and surrounding area and point out all the wildlife!
