Mayan Dynasty Tours

San Juan la Laguna
#2 of 44 Tours in Solola Department
The tour was very informative and enjoyable - Salvador and Maggy are very nice, friendly and knowledgeable locale guides who actually live there.
We then took a boat to San Pedro La Laguna to pick up our horses and rode the horses to San Juan La Laguna, where we were able to explore the coffee plantation.

Marshall tailors his tours to his groups, so for me and my friend he gave much less a guided tour than a "chill hangout with Marshall," which is exactly what we wanted.
We absolutely love his tours and how he takes the time to show you the best technique!

Voltan Adventures

Santa Cruz La Laguna
#3 of 44 Tours in Solola Department
Our tours included: A Local Experience (making lunch and tortillas with a local family), San Juan Village Tour, Santiago Village Tour and Pico de Cielo Hike with Solola Market tour.
Pedro was an excellent guide to my hike to Rostro Maya, very knowledgeable and patient, as I had to ascend a bit more slowly due to having scuba dived in the lake in the previous day.

... :-) 5) Great flying with strong wind over the mountains and the lake, nice cycles and wing-overs --> I got nice pictures and videos 6) Easy landing in Panajachel directly to catch my 4pm shuttle afterwards.
Wow! If you are looking for a paragliding tour around Lake Atitlan, this is the place to book!! Yes you pay Q700 p/p, but to me and my girlfriend it was even worth more than that.

Rolando, who speaks 4-5 languages, tailored the trip to our needs, arranging for transportation to a high pass overlooking the inlet off of Lake Atitlan before leading us on a 2-3 hour trip down an Audubon Society...
We, absolutely, loved trekking through a rainforest, but the search for different species of birds and even butterflies (that was a bonus, actually), made the 5-hour tour that much more exciting.

guateSUP

Panajachel
#11 of 44 Tours in Solola Department
If you stay at Casa Colonial you can get a SUP free inflatable tour, which would be great on a calm morning but a EPS board would be perfect.
Paddling on the lake Atitlan in the morning is a great way to enjoy the calm of the lake and the incredible landscape around it.

This is a quick place to visit - 30 to 45 min tour - this time is enough to have a lot of information, see the type of bees and their honey, and then give a look of the products they sell.

His English is excellent and it’s fantastic that the Audubon society has trained locals to lead these types of tours.
