What travelers are saying
- kendellbrinkHilton Head, SC443 contributionsNice Sunday afternoon wandering the Vail Valley. From candles to clothing and pillows to pasta-you can browse it all here. The many food trucks offer a huge variety of tasty food items. The Hippie Crack taco is a favorite of mine-my hubby enjoyed the bar-b-q…I doubt you can go wrong!Written August 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Everything is so beautiful and unique. They have great artists. We have bought several things and had them shipped to Houston. Even if we are not in the market to buy anything we always stop in there just to admire what they have. They are also very helpful and knowledgeable about all the pieces.Written January 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christina&BrianMercer, PA29 contributionsYou must check out this candy store! My favorite chocolate is the cashew chocolate turtles - chocolate caramel and cashews. I am 55 and this place gets the blue ribbon. They make the Caramell and the turtles right there. They are to die for. So much variety. Dipping dots. And to top it off, the staff is super duper friendly. Best customer service! Blake is the best!Written November 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SWilliams1962Tulsa, OK127 contributionsMy husband and I rented bikes for a half day. Andrew was so helpful and wanted to make sure we got just the right bike for our ride. He is an asset to this establishment and the bikes are very new and they have all different kinds depending on what kind of riding you would like to do.Written July 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RuhskisVail, CO582 contributionsI love the jewelry at the Golden Bear. I own large silver and gold bears and a small diamond bear, but my favorite is a chunky silver chain with a dangling heart that has a silver bear on one side and a golden (of course) bear on the other side. I drop in every six months to get my bears "groomed." They are cleaned and polished at no charge. Great merchandise, great people and great service. Buy a piece as a perfect souvenir of Vail and you might be surprised at the people you meet from around the world who recognize it and say hello.Written January 21, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EricStarcher1974El Cajon, CA82 contributionsMy Girlfriend and I had just returned from the top of Lionshead peak. We were walking through Lionshead village and noticed how dead it was. I was the weekend before the winter season so it was understandable.
I passed by the window and saw a Mammoth Leg Fossil in the window. I did not know what sort of store this was but knowing my son loves dinosaurs, I had to check it out. Once inside I realized it was a fossil/gem/fine jeweler store.
We were greeted by Gina and were welcomed but not pestered. We meandered our way through the store looking at all the curios before getting to the jewelry section. I paused at an even bigger Mammoth leg fossil that was from shoulder to foot. That was when Gina engaged us. We struck up a conversation about the area and exchanged where we were from. There was no pressure to buy anything! Which was nice. Mind you, Vail is a pretty bougie area that is a playground for the more well off population. It was obvious we were from out of town and just looking.
DO NOT LET THIS REVIEW FOOL YOU! there are plenty of things (fossils, gems, minerals, jewelry) that a person of lessor means (like my blue-collar self) can easily afford.
While we were browsing, a gentleman walked in and said he was looking for something for his wife. Gina had helped him quickly and he was in and out within 5 minutes, I heard his bill had come to $16K. Shortly after, I asked Gina it retrieve a snowflake necklace that was $125. It was exquisite and she treated me with the same amount of respect as the guy who just spent money on what for some people could be a new car! Like I said, we were never pressured to buy anything. We may have talked for about 45 minutes or so. We spoke about some Native American Jewelry my mom owned (I inherited) that was very similar to that which was in the store. Gave a lot of back story and spoke about its worth.
We continued talking to her about the area and it was just the most pleasant and romantic experience.
When we get back to Vail again, I will be sure to make another trip to this amazing location!Written October 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jill BestKansas City, MO12 contributionsPerfect one stop shop for gifts and sundries in Vail Village! Along with the standard souvenirs like t-shirts, coffee mugs, and key chains, Vail Style also carries higher end apparel and locally made art and jewelry. The inventory is well-curated, offering a selection of quality items without overwhelming shoppers. Outstanding customer service and a fun place to browse!Written December 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - K. KellyVail, CO1 contributionWe love Wild Bill’s Emporium! If you’re lucky enough to catch Bill there, be prepared for some old school toughness matched with his kind charm and over the top customer service. If he’s not, he only hires the best to run his store, so you’re always in good hands. They have the coolest stuff! Authentic western hats, odd hats, trinkets you didn’t know existed and beautiful ornaments. Every time I’m in the Vail Village I swing thru there.Written July 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kevinw25992 contributionsMy son forgot the thumb screw for our GoPro camera. I went to a few stores to purchase a new one so that we could capture our day of skiing at Vail. I was told to check Craniologie! When I went in I was immediately greeted and explained my dilemma. Mackenzie the sales associate began to give me options as they did not have the screw for sale sold separately. My options were to purchase a full accessory that included the screw, which I was ready to do. After trying to find the least expensive accessory and one that we could use in the future, Mackenzie went above and beyond! She located a out of date/old accessory that did not fit mine or any current GoPro cameras, and something that was (to use her words) "never going to sell." She opened the package handed me the thumb screw and said "enjoy the day with your son!" I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!!! After repeated attempts to pay, she refused. Now, because of her kindness, I have plenty of video of my son and I skiing Vail for his first time on a bluebird day! Thank You, Mackenzie and Craniologie! The next time I'm in Vail, Craniologie will be my go to store for helmets, goggles, and more! It will also be the place I send anyone I know!Written March 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Where’s WaldoWilmington, DE5 contributionsI think this is the first review of this unique shop. Kemosabe is a well know store in Aspen and elsewhere. We visited the shop in Vail Village. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. The belt buckle selection is quite large. We liked the Bohlin as well as the Kemosabe Grit buckles. There is such a wide assortment. It's the same for hats too. Aside from Stetson they have a wide selection of other brands and styles and materials. The jewelry selection of fine jewelry is also amazing. Very well curated throughout.
We had a great salesperson whom I believe is new but she knew as much as anyone in the store it seemed.
If you're looking for authentic Western items don't miss this shop.Written December 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
