Pleasant site to view. We used the easy route. Was worth seeing. A day pass was $5.00. There’s a couple other paths to explore.

I always enjoy local botanical gardens when I travel. This one definitely offers the serenity that a couple locals mentioned when I expressed interest.

Last part of the drive to Strawberry Park is an unpaved road, which requires a 4WD or AWD vehicle, with chains after November 1. (But chains after November 1 are required here everywhere anyway).
There is a parking lot in front of the park entrance.
The park opens at 10 AM, and you have to wait in the parking lot until then. Nothing to do in the parking lot, so take this into account.
At 10 AM they let people in. Reservations are required, and they need to be done ahead of time, nothing available a few days before you want to get there.
However, nobody checked our reservation, just took $20 cash per person.
The same happened with other people.
So my guess would be one can get in without reservations, I didn’t see anybody checking them.
Our reservation was from 10 to 12, but nobody enforces the exit time.
It’s a pretty big kind of lake with a lot of people in it and I only saw 2 employees there.
Can’t imagine how making all those people leave at 12 can be done.
But don’t hold me responsible if it changes at any time ;-)
The walk to the springs is short and easy. There is a wood cabin for changing on the way. It is like one room with 2 curtained off sections, benches, hooks where you can hang your clothes. I left my clothes, shoes and bag there. I think nobody cares or needs them.
Some water shoes are very useful, though not required. I wouldn’t go there without them.
The wooden chairs and chase lounges are very nice. There are plenty of them.
I spotted a gallon of water near one chair - it is a smart way to bring water, especially if there are more than 2 people in your company.
Pool entrances have rails, but rocks that form steps are very slippery, so older people need to be very careful.
There are several pools with different water temperatures. Water temperature in the pools is regulated by diverting river water in the pools.
There was one pool with scalding hot water.
Water temperature in the main pool varies within as little as a yard. It varies by depth, place and time.
It could be comfortably cool in one spot, and warm water flows in there unexpectedly.
As usual, water on the bottom is cooler the at the surface.
I was very entertained by walking around the pool and feeling temperature changes from spot to spot.
There is no room to swim, the main pool is about shoulder deep.
There is no shade in the pools, so sunscreen is a must.
I think it is very important to limit your time in warm water in open sun, take breaks to cool down.
We spent there about one and a half hour. The air temperature was 82 degrees, with sparse shade around the pool there was nothing to do for two seniors at noon there.
Especially that it was our first day at Steamboat Springs altitude.
    That’s September 28, by the way ;-)
We didn’t get a sunburn on our first day there without sunscreen and hats.
    That was very lucky.
We went to local Walmart and bought sunscreen and sun hats.
We have reservations for 6 more days from 10 to 12.
    We absolutely loved it!
There are Old Town hot springs in Steamboat Springs, right downtown.

Steamboat is a great mountain, lots of different terrain. never seemed crowded even on weekend we skied. It snowed every night we were there, 6 inches one night. Some of the best conditions I've skied. My 3 grandsons never have skied like this!

Great place to hike and enjoy the wilderness. Many trails to choose from. Early spring definitely need water proof hiking boots. Some trails would be good for families with kids.

Fantastic ride and the food and views at the top were great! Our grandson was completely enthralled by the experience and wants to return in the winter to ride the higher gondola.

Perfect paved trail along the river. We rented bikes for the day and enjoyed the many stops along the way. There are restaurants and some shopping along the trail.

Took a free walking tour, which is a great way to get to know Steamboat. Learned a lot. Should have done it last year!! (Tour is history-packed and adult -oriented, little kids will be bored) Then toured the museum. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Museum really educated me as to the history of the area, great artifacts and a wonderful exhibit of photos, too. So glad I went.

My first cat skiing experience ( have previously done heli). We were fortunate in having amazing conditions ( 9 inches of snow overnight ), and this trip lived up to my hopes .
The guides were great, and found some
really great runs for us. I was in a level 3 cat, and the runs were challenging and fun - they really catered for skiers/boarders wanting some steep and deep powder !
It was a really professionally run day , cats were comfortable and warm and the food was good .
    Highly recommended !

My college friends and I went to shoot Sporting Clays and we worked with Maureen. She gave us detailed instruction as well as feedback during the experience. We went through two boxes each and took about 90 min. While we were all true beginners her instruction had us improve rapidly and we utilized multiple different setups. Highly recommend for men and women and we had a phenomenal experience. A must do when in season.

We parked at Dumont Lake and hiked to rabbit ears pass from there. I didn't know there was parking to the east of the Campground, so this added some more mileage! Started at 830 am and we were back at our car by 1pm. The hike is through a bunch of wildflowers that were spectacular! Bring water and bug spray. There's a small creek about half way that is loaded with mosquitoes. The top part of the hike to rabbit ears is steep! We killed time at the top, so the hike can be completed a lot faster. Also you can 4 wheel up closer to minimize walking, and can quad to the top. Great hike

First time for our family to ski. This was a great place to start. Not as many slopes to choose as Steamboats main ski area, but for us, it was exceptional. Not crowded. We had lots of room to practice without running into others. We will definitely be back.
