We found great results, but some are outside Georgetown. Showing results in neighboring cities.
Limit search to Georgetown.
Loveland Ski Area
#1 of 4 Nature & Parks in Georgetown
It's only 1 hour from Denver if you beat traffic and you can park at the base of the mountain and walk right onto the lifts.
There is a park, but there is enough natural stuff that they don't focus on the park at all.
Foster's Place Playground
#2 of 4 Nature & Parks in Georgetown
Our most recent trip was for a picnic with one of those grown sons and his family, including two daughters, 6 and 4, who loved exploring the different parts of the park.
After a day of exploring Georgetown, it was nice to take a walk into the neighborhood, look at the historical homes, and let the kids play at the park.
Clear Creek Canyon
#3 of 4 Nature & Parks in Georgetown
In the canyon there are two country parks for hiking, biking, fishing and prospecting with paved parking and restroom facilities.
That is so sad because it really takes away from the beauty of nature in the area.
1 Way to experience it
Herman Gulch Trail
#4 of 4 Nature & Parks in Georgetown
St. Mary's Glacier Idaho Springs 7.8 mi away
#1 of 6 Nature & Parks in Idaho Springs
There was plenty of room around the lake to relax and take in nature’s beauty, and an enormous open space to venture up the snow-covered mountain with even less company.
You can drive most of the way up the mountain and park ($5 parking fee) and walk straight up about 30 minutes and you are treated to the most gorgeous view.
