- Greg H20 contributionsThis is our 2nd time using this company for rafting. Our first experience was almost four years ago where we did the more beginner rafting trip. Mostly because at the time we were there with our four kids and one was 13. They prefer/require for the intermediate ride for everyone to be 14 or older.
Obviously the first time was amazing enough for us to come back. This time it was just my wife and I. Our guide “Weekly” was top notch. He gave clear instructions, stayed positive and even periodically landed a funny joke keeping it fun.
We never got thrown out but that is not to say it was not possible. There were several big surges and water coming in that the risk was certainly possible. Even if that happened I felt safe and prepared for anything that came our way.
Also felt it was a nice touch for them to include the wetsuits. The water was super cold and frigid. It was so much fun and our tour guide Jason was awesome! He was so knowledgeable about the area and took his time showing us how to drice and feel comfortable. - Lisa GMartinez, CA58 contributionsAfter having a great time on the intermediate rafting, we wanted to do the advanced rafting and wanted to change our beginner via ferrata tour to the advanced via ferrata. There weren't enough people interested to have a large enough group to go rafting, but a gentleman in the lobby (the owner/manager I believe) pulled some strings and asked some of the other guides if they wanted to go and we were able to do it the next day!
Our guides for the Via Ferrata were Elijah and Nishan. I really loved the Via Ferrata because me and my group have done indoor rock climbing/top ropes but haven't done anything outdoor yet, so it gave us a similar experience without having to learn the technical skills. While we were on the tour, Elijah also took the time to impart lots of neat history about the area and facts about the local geology and plants. Nishan got lots of nice photos while we were ascending up the mountain and we had a chill hike down (you don't take the zipline down but you go up a lot higher with the advanced course).
The Advanced rafting with River Manager Joe was probably my favorite activity of the trip. There's much less downtime in between the rapids so it's a lot more nonstop fun. I could definitely see how people get hooked on rafting after this. The scenery that the river goes through was fantastic as well. - Sydney8 contributionsMy 2 friends and I booked a last minute advanced rafting trip with this company and it was worth every penny! Great service, great conversation with the crew and no big crowds and tourist. We had our own personal raft and really got to know our instructor.
