This huge botanical garden is a wonderful place to visit. There is so much to see and experience, both inside and out.

We ate at Mac Nation then popped in to see the art in Mirada. What a fun place. The woman who runs the gallery is very knowledgable and personable. Most of the art is modern, colorful and fun. I am not usually a modern art fan but it was wonderful. Many of the pieces moved me.

I love the sculptures of the rabbits and the frog grabbing a bug.

The most beautiful painting in my opinion is upstairs. I can't remember the artist's name but there are 3 canvases and it was beautiful.

We were told that they seek out very successful artists to show in their gallery.

    Was a great time.

We stopped in to the arts district for a quick visit. There are a number of shops and galleries. The best thing was all of the murals that were painted on a number of the buildings along the way. There were quite a few and most were pretty good.

Surprising we made it more fun than we anticipated. If you have nothing else to do or want a unique activity, check it out.

I attended a launch party for a new Event Planning Business at Space Gallery. Although the neighborhood seemed a bit rough and parking is tight, the Space Gallery is a lovely venue. Dapper, the event planning company, had many vendors set up through out the space and each one seemed to have plenty of room to move and take care of attendees. The acoustics are a bit tough if one would decide to have loud music here. When a loud band was playing...no talking or listening was really possible.
Lovely spot with a lot of potential!

I collect maps, esp places where I have been. I love old maps, and they have a significant collection. They also have vintage prints of all sorts, and you are welcome to browse thru. Purchase process is good

Art is obviously personal; however, you’ll still enjoy the variety of artists and mediums represented at this gallery. The gallery staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you see something you like, they will work with you on pricing, as you will be hard-pressed to find the same piece of art at a lower price elsewhere. Enjoy the gallery.

First of all, Jessica is an excellent instructor. She gives detailed yet succinct instructions and is so encouraging. My adult daughter and I needed things to do in Denver and this popped up on "Dabble". The only bummer is that we have to go back to Denver to pick up our creations. (I live in the Springs)
The glass making is so fun. I have wanted to do this for a long time and the price seems reasonable. We made fancy paperweights. Next time, we will make ornaments.
    I highly recommend this experience.

Gallery has closed, owner retired, building torn down. No other good Southwest gallery in Denver. Nothing more to report.

I've been going to Tam O'Neill Fine Arts for maybe 15 years. It's definitely the best antique print gallery in the Denver area and compares well to galleries in the biggest cities. I'm particularly interested in her old maps of Colorado, though maps are just a small part of what they show here. There's a fabulous selection of old prints of all types, including Audobon prints and tons of great botanicals. It's great to be able to patronize a truly local business with an owner who is from Denver and lives in the neighborhood. Tam is extremely knowledgeable about what she carries and it's always interesting just to stop in and chat even when I'm not looking to buy anything. And, this is easy to do as she has free parking!

I noticed an ad for Mirus Gallery while visiting Denver--and the art looked very contemporary. I was right: my wife & I went to the gallery, wherein the grand opening was being set up. The super friendly lady let us in anyway. Steppping over paint cans & drops, we peered at the gallery workers setting up "Abstract Portraiture," the opening exhibition including Wyatt Mills, Joseph Lee and Florian Eymann. Google them first. All three may be influenced by Francis Bacon...after he'd lost another bundle at the gaming tables & wanted to release his tensions!

We went Friday night to the opening reception of Ditto Gallery in Denver, and were blown away. The gallery promotes emerging artists and affordable art with an art-on-demand concept. They had original paintings and Giclees hanging and if you loved something, but couldn't fork over $4,000, they could digitally reproduce one for a quarter the price. I did see people buying the originals as well.

I definitely recommend this place if you're visiting, or live in Denver. The atmosphere is chill, they have some of the best art that's out there, and you can actually afford it.

Also they had a cool flat screen on the wall, called a Digi-canvas, that was showing more art from each of the artist exhibiting.

Loved having access to the hotel but the jewelry store Lapis jewelry is a total rip off! I bought a silver ring there for $160.00. A couple of days later my sister bought the exact same ring from a sister store in one of the malls in Cancun for $100.00.
I returned to Lapis jewelry the day after my sister got the ring and Lapis jewelry promised me a $60 credit to my credit card! I waited for about a week and still no money back on my credit card! (I was very disappointed) So about 3-4 days before my return to Canada from my holiday I went back to Lapis and I asked again how long it would take for my credit card to be reimbursed! He told me it could take up to two weeks! I figured it would trust this salesman! What did I have to loose? Well this ring was bought about January 23/2014. I still have the receipt for the refund and still no refund! I am so not impressed with Lapis! And I will never return to that store!

The gallery is currently featuring The Cat Behind the Hat, which is the art of Dr. Seuss collective. It was not really our type of art but for collectors of such, they would have been in heaven. Painting and sculptures of Dr. Seuss characters throughout the gallery.

Agnes is the most interesting, talented and extraordinary person. She’s meticulous in her teaching and our safety is foremost. I’ve never been in a glass blowing studio and immediately I was intimidated and frankly a little afraid. And I don’t scare easily (went skydiving last summer) and Agnes picked up on my reticence immediately. She walked me thru the process explaining that I can do as little as I want and every step of the way was modeling and instructing so I had the most spectacular experience with a 2000 degree furnace without fear, buy definitely with respect. Impeccably clean studio too. This is something a person must experience believe me you are just dumb to go anywhere else!
