What travelers are saying
- JeffBreedloveAtlanta, GA4,688 contributionsI really enjoyed visiting the Colorado State capital
We ran in town for a business trip and decided to take a quick tour
I enjoyed that they let you walk up to the top of the And go outside and look around the view of the Rocky Mountains is stunning and certainly worth every step
There’s numerous displays which highlight the history of the state
And the architecture, artwork and paintings inside the capital are very, very nice
One negative they do not let visitors go onto the house and send it Florida to take pictures. Mindy states allow this with the abundance of security guards. They have they could easily allow access to the floor for photos.
Hopefully, they will consider changing this policy

We arrived early, since tickets are first come first serve and we only had time in the morning. We had no trouble getting tickets, no line at all, (midweek in late Sept). A few families showed up just before our 7:30 am tour, so our tour had about 12 people all together. There is a security check first, no photos allowed. Our tour guide was interesting and engaging. The tour is good, I did enjoy going, but not a "must see", for me, if your short on time.Written October 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - podrozniczka60New Jersey17,020 contributionsPerhaps not unique but certainly monumental this building fits with its federal neoclassical style in the landscape of the city’s civic complex.Written October 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sebastian825dlbDallas, TX92 contributionsWe really wanted to tour but they where closed due to the COVID. However, the outside is beautiful and very stately. Sitting up on a hill with a very nice view of the area. Stage mansion sits in Governor’s park which unfortunately is filled with hundreds of homeless. The smell of urine and feces is heavy in the air and this is literally steps from the mansion.Written September 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jonathan KBrighton, CO105 contributionsWe went to a New Years Eve Party here and it was great. We actually really liked the venue, and the 3 floors. It would have been nice if they had additional bathrooms on each floor, but it wasn’t too bad. The layout is great and it’s a great place for parties.Written January 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
