- Matthew GNew Jersey3,082 contributionsOn a recent trip to Denver, my wife and I stopped into the Great Divide taproom on Arapahoe Street on a Sunday afternoon, just looking to try some local beers and get a feel for what they had to offer. Our experience was good, and I’d try their beer again if I had the opportunity.
I was a little surprised at how small the taproom was when we entered. It’s pretty bare bones, with limited space for guests. When we entered, the employee at the bar said to feel free to take any spot/table that’s free. All of the tables were taken in the late afternoon on a Sunday, but the main bar was empty, so we grabbed two barstools. Within an hour, it got more crowded, and some people were left with having to use a separate standing-only area that seemed cramped and uncomfortable. Service was also not the warmest - the employee at the bar was pretty curt, but she was efficient anytime anyone came up to the bar to place an order.
One thing I appreciated about Great Divide was that every beer was available in 4, 10, and 16 ounce pours. Since we were just looking to try a few things, it was nice that we could get as few or many beers as we wanted in the 4-ounce size and create our own flight/tasting. We aren’t big beer people, so we’re not the best to judge, but everything we had seemed pretty good. The only thing I tried that I didn’t like at Great Divide was their hard seltzer on tap.
We didn’t love the beer as much as we did at another brewery we had visited earlier that afternoon (Briar Common), but we felt Great Divide was still worth the stop. I don’t necessarily think I’d say Great Divide is a must-visit kind of place, but I know it’s well-known in the area and definitely can be worth a stop when looking for a classic Denver brewery experience.Written March 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Dave FKiel, WI188 contributionsWife and I stopped here for dinner while exploring downtown Denver. Super friendly staff, great beer selection, and good food. Fish tacos and nachos were great. Molly's Brown Ale was very good too. We came back the next night for some drinks at the bar. Reasonable prices and great service. We'll definitely come back when we return to Denver.Written February 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GavinDenver, CO2 contributionsGreat beer, great service, great environment.
In response to the previous review: playing death metal music before opening the bar is neither more obnoxious nor less peaceful than the anti-choice people gathering outside the nearby sexual health clinic - harassing, shaming, and judging folks at the door instead of empowering them to make their own decisions about their mental, physical, and financial well-being. Keep your beliefs out of other people's lives and review a brewery once you've actually been to it.Written November 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - bengold90424 contributionsCool spot, with a lot of options for every beer drinker, also seltzers they created themselves too. They have a cool thing a Saturday and a Sunday every month where you can come and pay for an unlimited amount of beers and brunch.Written April 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dave SNashville, TN523 contributionsSpent a couple drinks here while enjoying a sunny Fall afternoon. Had a very good Oktoberfest brew, with the stein to accompany it. Waitstaff was stretched a little thin, but generally good with checking in on drink levels!Written October 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AlishaCharlotte, NC145 contributionsHad a quick bite here before a tour which started with the historical story of the brewery. Bar food options were above expectations (for bar food) but the beer was great, in a neat environment. Service was fast and friendly!Written September 21, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Hoben01Long Beach, CA3,056 contributionsThis place was located right next door to where I was staying in Denver. I just stopped in here to see if they sold beer to go was able to get a 32oz can of stout. There was a large selection of beers to choose from and any of them could be quickly canned to bring homeWritten February 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- William L23 contributionsExcellent German style beers, brewed in the traditional method. I had tried Prost in bottles but I was really interested in having it fresh on tap. It did not disappoint, I went around noon on a Tuesday, so pretty quiet, staff was accommodating, and outdoor beer garden was pleasant.Written June 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- usnwalkerAurora, CO355 contributionsThis is a GREAT taphouse! The selection is endless, they even had Delirium on tap which is the first time we have seen this. The bartender was super friendly and attentive. When he found out that my husband and I are both active duty military, he bought a round and was very supportive of all veterans and active duty members. We had a great experience, and will for sure be coming back!Written December 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Lauren ButterfieldDenver, CO537 contributionsWe live right about a mile from here and have gone here for years. They've really improved this place over the years with over 15 beers on tap. They always have a local food truck there to get food too.
The bartenders are very attentive to you. Parking can be very challenging around here so I'd recommend grabbing a spot within a 3 block range.

Highly recommend if living/visiting DenverWritten May 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - clickheelsngoWichita, KS73 contributionsWe rolled into town at 3ish after our trek from Wichita. My passenger diligently researched breweries with food on our way. This place got great reviews and we agree. We got the Al Green pizza but substituted chicken for artichokes and it was delicious. The crust is made from spent grain and it is sooooo good. Tasty brews, good food, and fast and friendly service.Written July 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CatjmoFort Collins, CO2 contributionsCheluna Brewery is amazing with their great beers and complimentary spiced peanuts that are served with their draft beer! We were so happy to discover this colorful tap room following our trip to Denver to see the Van Gogh Experience. The ambiance and cold brew kept us there for about 2 hours. We bought beer and peanuts to take home. We ate the peanuts sparingly and when we finally ran out, I just had to email and beg to buy more. Actually, I didn't have to beg because my order was happily taken and shipped to me. (It's a long drive from our home). The owners, Jen and Javi, are so friendly and welcoming. This is our favorite brewery in the Denver area.Written January 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gareth LWashington DC, DC271 contributionsI didn’t eat here, but sitting at the bar watching the ballgame on TV drinking very good IPA can’t be bad. The welcome was friendly, the service good, the beer choice excellent and the quality equally so. Great venue.Written September 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
