What travelers are saying
- Bob LWinchester, VA680 contributionsSuch a nice bookstore. They have everything. Books, hidden nooks to read those books, coffee and treats to enjoy as your read those books in your nooks. I like them, Sam I Am, I do like books with my green eggs and ham.
Such a nice place to browse, soak up the atmosphere and history. The people there know their stuff and kind find anything for you. As the biggest independent books store in the country they do a fine showing.
This is a great place to visit to take a break from the hustle and bustle of visiting the train station , botanical gardens, and capital.Written July 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IAKWarrington, UK10 contributionsA proper, auld fashioned music shop. I spent 3 hours perusing and browsing. Coming frae the UK, it was well worth the visit. The mixture of genres stocked and general vibe of the shop made it a wonderful experience for an ageing muso...Written August 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah SWestminster, CO1,087 contributionsThis is worth a trip even if cowboy garb is not really your thing. It functions as a great museum as well and there are pictures of tons of celebrities who have visited or worn this clothing. We didn't buy anything and my horse girl friend found the prices pretty high but it was a super fun visit!Written May 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bee80204Denver, CO5,039 contributionsHave the worst feet - wide and high arches. I usually buy cheap shoes and after struggling for a few months I abandon them. My friend’s family has benefited from my bad decisions over the years. Finally I decided to invest in some good quality shoes. Headed over to Dardano’s to see what they have in terms of boots. I’ve purchased shoes from here before and while expensive, they were comfortable to me. I was in luck, they did have boots from several different brands. I scoped out the different styles and once I knew what I wanted to try on, I sought out a sales person. The store was a little busy but luckily one had just finished up with a customer and was available. She went to get what I wanted to try and I wandered into the discount nook. Saw a pair of short boots which looked promising as well so I brought it out to get the partner to try. After trying on some boots I settled on a pair by Dansko. They were comfortable and stylish. I had to choose between practical flat boots and a slight heel. Ice was a consideration but after much deliberation I went with the slight heel as they felt better on my arches. Hopefully I won’t slip. But my legs look amazing! Great customer service and I had a slight issue but they took care of it. So while I cringed at the price, I’m happy to report that while making me look fabulous, the boots are also comfortable even after being on my feet all day. And as a bonus, the store has a small storefront with sale shoes but it’s only open certain hours on the weekend. Check them out!Written November 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- TarHeelDurham, NC1,121 contributionsWe are the type of travelers who love stopping in independent bookstores in cities we visit. There was a small outlet of this bookstore in Union Station where our hotel was (we stopped by there) but wanted to find the main store. I guess they must have moved at some point because one of our guidebooks had them at a different address. We finally found it and enjoyed perusing the books and recommendations. My wife even found a book she was looking for and purchased it. If you love books and bookstores, definitely stop in.Written October 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Explorer7833835 contributionsVisited for the first time on our trip to Denver/RMNP. We love the concept and the prices are very reasonable. The prices range quite a bit, but you can find some great deals on used outdoor gear. The only comparable thing I’ve seen is so far is REI’s garage (returns) section but Feral has more product and arguably better prices. I wish we had one back home, but I think a store like this needs a very active outdoor population to succeed and I don’t know that other locations could do as well. Definitely stopping in on our next visit!Written July 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Welsh WanderlustSwansea County, UK59 contributionsI loved visiting this shop, we actually went twice during our short stay in Denver! My husband and I are really into board games, and this shop has a wonderful selection. The staff were also really helpful in advising us based on what we were looking for. We bought Love Letter and Fandooble, and both games have been a big hit with friends (and were cheaper in-store than on Amazon UK).Written August 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Katherine H39 contributionsI looked for keychains as my husband collects them and was able to find two that were unique and handmade. - Fabio MarquesSao Paulo, SP189 contributionsThe biggest comic book store in the planet.
Amazing collection of comics, and obviously impossible to browse the entire inventory. Good prices on the discont long boxes. Really expensive prices if want to buy Near Mint (NM) or Very Fine (VF) issues.
But still a great experience to visit it.Written August 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The store makes money that way and everyone is happy. It's a great alternative to fast fashion and consumerism, and the store has a great variety of clothes and it has changing rooms and works just like a regular store. Only down side is that the prices are fairly high knowing that the articles are second-hand.Written August 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
