Hired the Peterson AFB Outdoor Recreation to take us on a bike ride from Victor (top) all the way down to Canon City (the road near US 50).
It lasts for approx 25 miles along a good quality stony track (not a metalled road) and passes through some stunning, outstanding scenery.

Wow-this drive offers spectacular scenery, amazing geology (buy the geologic guide), exciting driving (but doable in a 2WD car), and lots of wildlife.
We just recently returned from having an amazing adventure with Colorado Jeep Tours, Canon City, CO!

It cost $7 dollars per person, and you get a guided tour through the century old "Parlor House", (bordello), and a healthy dose of the history of the house and Cripple Creek.
Old Homestead House Museum is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cripple Creek, Colorado.

Much of the tour is on the shuttle, but there were opportunities to stop, get out of the van and see spectacular views of the mine as well as the historic mining communities of Victor and Cripple Creek.
Outstanding two and a half hour tour from the brief safety video to the "hands-on" of how to identify the different types of gold ore.
