What travelers are saying
- RoverPInverness, UK799 contributionsA short and very straightforward little drive on a one way road. There is a small parking area near the start which allows you to walk on some of the tracks and enjoy the views. It is only a small height above the surrounding area but offers surprisingly good views. The remaining short drive is a bit of fun. This isn’t
Something you would go out of your way to do, but if you are driving through the area it is worth a short detour.Written September 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Bridge walks looks challenging from a distance, but once you reach the bridge you realize that, it is made in such a way that the walk is very easy and it is so strong that they also have a special boggy to ride on it.
The park has many activities including cable car over the gorge and they even have a Zip which id fun and not difficult!Written December 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not a lot of shade, so go early If it's summer. Also, the Colorado Museum of Prisons is only a mile down the road. Another interesting and unusual stop along your adventure.Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margo KColorado10 contributionsWhat a cool place. Learning about prison life and all the different situations that occur was fascinating. It is so informative and interesting.Written August 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AidaTexasBurkburnett, TX462 contributionsThey had a nice variety of sweet wines. She gave us a generous pouring for our tastings. Our favorite was the Sangre de Cristo Nuvo . We liked the Riesling, as well. Beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the Mountain View. Would definitely recommend this place!Written August 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- melwashere81Cleveland, TX3,441 contributionsI love dinosaurs so I definitely had to stop here. There are 4 activities to choose from: the museum, the dino walk, the rope course, and the dig. We only did the museum and the dino walk. The museum was very interesting. There was a guide who walked us through and told us so many things I had never heard before! It was very informative and interesting. This was our favorite part! The dino walk is ok. This would probably be better for kids since the dinosaurs have motion sensors and move and roar when you walk near them. I mean it was cool but I've been to dinosaur world in Glen Rose, TX and it's way better. It's definitely worth the price of admission though which is pretty reasonable. Parking is free and there is a nice sized gift shop as well. Definitely worth a stop if you have kids who love dinosaurs.Written September 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LindaTravels34 contributionsGreat view of the distant Garden of the Gods. Beautiful red rock canyon. Beautiful fields of sunflowers. Walkable trails. Loved it except that it was hard to tell whether the trail looped around, or how we should get back to our parking lot. The occasional maps didn't have "you are here" markings, and the only time the parking lot had signage was after you made it back to within a few feet of it.Written August 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dave WCanon City, CO27 contributionsOur grandkids love to hike here when they come out. A hike in pinon pines, scrub oak, and red rocks with great views. Can be unbearable hot on a hot summer day! Also, watch out for rattlesnakes. That is why it is great in the winter--beautiful weather much of the winter!Written August 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jhalt1964Fairplay, CO47 contributionsMy family and I went for a alittle drive and stumbled across this road. As we drove the area got more and more scenic. You don't need a 4 wheel drive for this road. There are camp spots all along the road. I recommend this drive. It has a canyon,it takes you up on top of the mountains. It is just very pretty drive.Written November 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Extraordinary8122345 contributionsThe fossils are the highlight of this little museum, in my opinion! We really enjoyed seeing the fossils discovered right there so locally, many of them on Skyline Drive. Loved it, no one else was there and it was free admission.Written October 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All pieces for sale were by local artists; the presentation was tastefully done, the sales person was herself an artist, whose work was being shown at the store.
I would make this a strong recommendation of places to visit in Cañon City when going for the Royal Gorge Train.Written July 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
