- FRANCIS PColorado Springs, CO627 contributionsWas up in Breckenridge visiting with friends. It is always wonderful to take in the sites. I am interested in history, so I would look at all the old buildings from the 1800's. Great place to visit in the summer.Written July 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jen hHouston, TX149 contributionsWe had 8 of us for this. 4 teen boys (16,16, 14, 14) and my 70 year old parents. Nice little walk/loop and beautiful views. The loop is under 3 miles. We started from the parking lot counterclockwise. This is on a road so expect to share with bikers and some cars. This part had a gradual incline and spots to stop and take photos, rest if needed. It was in full sun pretty much the whole way to the turn off of the road. At this point my parents turned back and walked to the car and we finished the loop. Once we turned off of the trail there was a tiny spot with a little incline so they decided this was not for them. Once on the trail the views are gone but you are also in the shade and not on a road anymore. Very easy too follow and we really picked up our pace here. We met back at the car with my parents at about the same time!Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kim65NJBurlington, NJ100 contributionsThis was one of our highlights, group of 8 adults 24-57, everyone loved it. An easy ride down, minimal actual pedaling. We did the morning ride through mountainsports in Keystone. They get you set up on bikes, shuttle you up, give you the map of where to to and pick you up 3-4 hours later. Reserve in advance. Wonderful views, Frisco was really nice to spend some time. Highly recommended.Written July 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FRANCIS PColorado Springs, CO627 contributionsWe decided to tak the 17 mile loop around Lake Dillon and this was one of our stops. Great views and a short little hike along the ledge back to the parking lot., You should do it.Written July 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FRANCIS PColorado Springs, CO627 contributionsWe always enjoy going over Hoosier pass. We stop and take in some hiking trails. You can always take the next road going sound and take it to the dam. Great views of Quandary Peak.Written July 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MPAOBoulder, CO8 contributionsA great little trail just outside of Breckinridge. Reaching the lower lake took us up close to 1500 ft of ascent. The trail can get a little twisty and hard to follow at times, but with a steady trickle of other hikers, we found our way. The alpine lake is stunning and you get a lovely waterfall on the way as well. Take it all in and enjoy the crisp air and views as you move higher and higher.Written August 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FRANCIS PColorado Springs, CO627 contributionsRight off the main road on the south side of Breckenridge. Nice place to stop and enjoy with your children or grandkids. - Harold T12 contributionsI visited here last year with my grandchildren. They were so excited to see each fairy display. It was a great adventure and kept the kids interested during the hike to the location.
Unfortunately the Town of Breckenridge has closed the trail due to overuse and in accordance with "leave no trace" requirements even though the area of disturbance was relatively small. Sad, it was one of the best free experiences for young children and families in the town. No replacement has been proposed.Written June 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Abigail G2 contributionsAs first timers to Colorado we had hear of the altitude sickness but had never experienced. Walked in with a couple headaches, pressure on chest and trouble breathing. Walked out much more relaxed! Very much reccomend even if you don't have symptoms. The staff was very knowledgeable and puts you at ease. Would definitely do it againWritten December 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- LaVitaEBella2016Plymouth, MN37 contributionsFun for the kids to find gold. Both found a little and thought they were millionaires. Requires a bit of focus to sift through the pans but interesting adventure.Written September 10, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - scottfromerieErie, CO215 contributionsMy family and I went on this hike today. We have two kids, 14 and 12, and they could handle the hike with no problems. When you start off at the trailhead, it is a pretty steep incline for about a mile or so. Obviously, when you are hiking in the mountains you need to bring water and this hike is no exception. The first mile goes up a winding trail mostly in the shade of lodge pole pine trees. Once the trail ends, it opens up to a dirt road. You will have a 2 mile walk back downhill to the trailhead and parking lot. This part of the hike has great views of Breckenridge.
We started this hike right at noon and nobody else was on the hike which is perfect for distancing yourselves from other during the pandemic.

- DillonM1905Laramie, WY383 contributionsA challenging hike with amazing views. Go on the trail before 6am, perfect conditions the day we were there. Bring plenty of water and pace yourself. Not an easy hike.Written August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
