- mjc_travelsLexington, MA346 contributionsWe found and followed the hike on Alltrails and it was an amazing hike for 3 miles. I believe it was called the rattlesnake trail. The views were fantastic. Highly recommend.😟Written October 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Bernie OEnfield, CT3 contributionsSome long-time Boulder residents gave me a tour of the city that was highlighted by a visit to Flagstaff Mountain. Almost visited on my own the following evening trying to get the perfect view of the Boulder StarWritten December 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Laurel H99 contributionsWe rode along the path on bikes and enjoyed the wonderful creek views and parks along the path. Easily rideable and walkable even for those in less than great physical shape.Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- ken mChcago419 contributionsGrand children loved this place. The falls were a nice break on a hot summer day. The walkway is not to steep and there is a chain railing for support.Written July 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Laurel H99 contributionsRode around campus during a bike tour. Though we didn’t go inside at all, the campus was interesting and beautiful. I’m glad we had someone giving us a lot of the fun facts as we rode around!Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HNallyCrescent Springs102 contributionsThis is a black diamond trail, no joke. It is rock climbing as much as it is hiking and certainly feels longer than stated when on your way up.....but worth every deep breath and little break you need along the way. It is gorgeous. You can do it! Keep going & congratulate yourself at the top.
Cant wait to return & share with my husbandWritten May 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - alabri69Chicago, IL61 contributionsHad an opportunity to hike this trail. It’s classified as “hard” by All Trails but the exposure is zero. This is a 1.3 mile stair master with as 1256 ft gain. The views are incredible and worth the trip. Don’t pass on this hike because it’s classified as hard. Take your time, enjoy the views and take as many breaks as you need. You can make it to the top.Written April 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Codi BCampbell, CA3 contributionsGreat place with good beer and great food! We sat inside on a Smokey day and had some great beer. The staff was super awesome!Written August 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 10countriesin10yearsPleasant Lake, MI119 contributionsThis is a steep hike, but it’s only about a mile long. Would recommend to see some awesome red rocks. You can climb up them too. Not many people were here, which is nice to get away from the crowds. If needed, take your time climbing up.Written June 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Margaret GPasadena, CA13 contributionsI go to the Saturday farmers market every week and each time marvel at all the beautiful produce and prepared foods on offer. Make no mistake - this is not an inexpensive market, but everything is so fresh that whatever you decide to buy will be good for quite a while. It’s definitely worth a visit even if you’re in town for just a few days.Written October 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- interceptpubsColumbus, IN1,007 contributionsThis 13-mile-long trail (actually an out and back, so 6.5 miles from one end to the other) provides the hiker with some excellent mountain scenery along the way. Its southern trailhead is on Eldorado Springs Drive on the southside of Boulder near Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge, while the northern trailhead is at the end of Bluebell Road in Chautauqua (GPS coordinates: 39.99885, -105.28263). There is also access to the trail from the Weather Trail behind the NCAR Mesa Laboratory which provides entry about two miles from north trailhead.
Given that the entire trail is over a mile above sea level, its roughly 1000 foot maximum climb in elevation can be taxing for those not well acclimated to the altitude of the Boulder area. However, it should be noted that the main elevation changes are within the first mile from the north and south trailheads, so by starting from the Mesa Laboratory access point, it is possible to go for a mile to the north towards the middle of the Flatirons and back for a relatively flat two mile hike or an even longer relatively flat six mile round trip hike southward to where the Mesa Trail meets the Homestead Trail and back.
Not surprisingly, we started at the Mesa Laboratory on a bright Sunday morning and did a shorter hike to the north. A lot of other people had the same idea, so there were quite a lot of people on the trail, but it was still a pleasant hike and more than enough exercise for this flatlander.Written September 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
