I recently bought 2 spots from Yvonne Wang(Shao Chia) and she is very detail and responsive. I do not have to worry about the paperwork and it is a good lesson to know more detail after visiting this place.

We held our funeral service for my father who passed away on 27th Jan 2022. We chose Rose Hills Memorial Park to rest my father and decided to go with SkyRose Chapel for the funeral service because it had everything that my father would have loved - the magnificent skyline and view of downtown LA, sky high vaulted glass ceiling, elegant architecture, space and air. Both our funeral director Jael and AV director Tim were also very experienced and professional. The chapel has enough natural lighting but not in a harsh way, so you still lights inside, which makes everything look even prettier and more elegant. The super high vaulted glass ceiling also makes everything sound extra beautiful and round. The white grand piano was a pleasant surprise and upgraded the whole service experience to the next level. Everything was solemn and beautiful, just like the way my father would have wanted it. Thank you.

Pio Pico State Park is beautiful. There are five acres with lovely gardens and the beautiful restored adobe home of Pío Pico.

It is registered as California Historic Landmark. it is open most days but never in the evening. You can enjoy the park with picnics, bird watching, walks, and exploring the parks wonderful fifteen room adobe. I do not think they are doing guided tours right now, but that might change soon. You really don't need a guide anyway, the place is beautiful and the house/adobe is very interesting.

Pío de Jesus Pico once owned all this land. Pío Pico was the governor of California in 1832.

His adobe home at “El Ranchito” has been completely restored to how it appeared in the 1880’s. Former Governor Pico began to build his home here in about 1848, and it has seen several changes over the last 150 years.

If you are interested in early California history, this is the place for you. It is also just a wonderful park that your whole family will enjoy.

Have a great time and please don't litter.

This professionaly presented museum is chock full of interesting human stories. I was fascinated to learn of Whittier's winning Indy racing car and world famous female pilot.

Admission is free and well worth a generous donation.

Kinda of small like two rows, after you go a couple of times it seems like nothing changes.
But still pretty cool (4stars) just skip a couple of weeks and it’s seems better.

This is a lovely space to enjoy seeing the work of local artists or pick up a thoughtful gift for a reasonable price. It is an artists' cooperative and very welcoming.

Decided last minute to go see a performance. Didn't take printed tickets but theatre manager honored our e tickets from my smart phone. He was so friendly and helpful. Great venue, any seat is a good seat. Beverages and snacks are available on site. Really enjoyed the intimate and casual setting. Good to know such a great little venue is nearby.

I love going to the Starlight Cinema. It's been there for years. It's not as modern as some as the newer cinemas. No booze, standard fare. You can get a good deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays ($5.00 movies) and seniors are $5.00 on Wednesday. Nice employees.

Friendly Staff! Large selection of Margaritas. Tip: Make sure to pay $1 or $2 more and request a premium tequila! Parking is easy and wide. With Covid all staff are wearing masks and they have sanitizer at entrance. Food choices are large portions so consider that if you’re not very hungry. I’d go back!

Usually, non-profit library bookstores are small. This store is in a large corner building selling used books and vinyl records. (all donated from the local community)
Hundreds of used books both hardback and paperback. Very large Science Fiction and Romance sections too. Very much a treasure hunt if you are looking for something specific. Run by volunteers so prices are great. The majority of children's books were 25 cents each, popular fiction $1 to $2 (hardback or paperback) They even sell CD's DVD's, VHS tapes and one room is filled with current issue magazines.
