This farmers' market is considered small (compared to the Sunday Mountain View market), but to us it was amazing in the extensive array of beautiful fruits and vegetables, flowers and more.
I love the way this farmers market is organized, and the variety of vendors they have, prices are good, plus you get the chance to get breakfast/brunch in one of the several very good options on Murphy Avenue, the...

For years, the C. J. Olsen Cherries stand was the place to purchase some of the best local Bing Cherries when in season.
In spite of the business being closed down, they utilized outlets for their products.

But it is certainly worth a stop if you are in the area, as it is a brief detour if you are in Silicon Valley and want to go wine tasting without driving to Livermore or Napa.
Take a picnic lunch with you and enjoy their outside picnic area for lunch then take a hike in the neighboring open space preserve!

Tom met us before we entered the tasting room, and suggested we first walk up the knoll to take in the view of the Bay and Santa Clara Valley -- wow!
Beautiful views, excellent wines, they have a nice picnic area where you can go and hang out with family and/or friends.

J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines

While I traditionally drink white wines, mostly Chardonnays, J. Lohr has a Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc that are delightful, as well as their red wines.
He was knowledgeable and patient with all our questions on wine/food pairings and such, and there was zero pressure on joining their wine club or purchasing a bottle.

A great spot to enjoy a pre-concert picnic overlooking the Santa Clara Valley, which becomes a gloriously lit backdrop as the sun goes down.
Loved this place...beautiful venue, great staff...the sound is wonderful...we had a lovely dinner (2 course) dinner came quickly and was quite good!

The tap room is situated pretty much right in the brewing area, so you can check out all the tanks and such as you enjoy one their fresh beers.
I very much like the idea of bringing food to a joint, even if GSB sometimes has food trucks.

The several blocks for vendors, musicians, stores lining the main street, and fascinating people who visit this market every Sunday provide great values, fresh produce, excellent coffee and top drawer people-watch...
Its a year round market with lots of fresh seasonal produce. They also have lots of great prepared food, baked goods and arts and crafts sections too.

One option is parking at the Pichetti Winery, hiking over to Cooper Garrod's using the Zinfandel and Lookout Trails, having a wine-tasting picnic at Cooper Garrod's, and taking an Uber back to Pichetti.
But it's not not omni-present and lends itself to the natural beauty of their winery.
