- Susan S8 contributionsThis us our go to winery in the Santa Ynez Valley. Beautiful grounds, knowledgeable staff and delicious wines. We are primarily red drinkers and love Eros and the Cab Franc. We bring our own charcuterie and sit in the courtyard to taste. A little slice of heaven!Written August 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- vinnyAkumal, Mexico9 contributionsAs the title suggests my family and I did not even eat or drink here but the hospitality from the staff alone warranted a 5 star review. Emily at the host stand was amazing and courteous. Our would-be server (Daisy, I think) was kind and patient and when we couldn’t end up dining they were extremely understanding and apologetic and I very much appreciate the hospitality. I can’t wait to come back to actually eat here.Written August 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- lucycanSan Diego, CA3,730 contributionsNice winery. We stopped here last on our tour day. The staff were excellent. Place was quite busy even for a Monday. Wines were all very good, nothing a stand out.Written November 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stacy StricklandSeattle, WA1,848 contributionsWe did the Sideways self-wine tour this past weekend. It was really hot, so we were inside and didn't get to gaze at the beautiful views while tasting.
The service was good, and engine was friendly. We sometimes had to probe for information about the wine.
The tasting fee is fair for what you get, and the charcuterie pack has a nice assortment.
We found it odd that there were no Australian wines available when we were there.Written September 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Close to LA, lots of great wineries, and not snobby like Napa, etc.Written September 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Surfcity4meMidway City, CA30 contributionsCute place. Beautiful driving in. It was a Friday at noon and not busy. Nice outdoor seating. The owner introduced himself at our table which was nice. We had wonderful tasting and our server talked to us about the wines and we had some yummy pairings. The grapes were out of season so nothing was growing in the vineyards but was strolled the grounds with our wine and enjoyed the property. Good for small and large groups. I was driving so I just tried a couple of the flights but my family really enjoyed it. Reasonable prices too.Written January 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- hawkjay92Minneapolis, MN30 contributionsMy wife and I had a wonderful time visiting and taste testing fabulous wines at Crown Point Vineyards! Amazing property, great wine (cab / cab franc) and Ken our host was terrific. Personal touches on taste tasting and private tour was SO worth it. Must goWritten August 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LauraBFCentennial, CO33 contributionsBrave & Maiden was great experience. We went with another couple that are members. We were met with a glass of white wine which we took on our tour through the wine making facility. We had a seated tasting after the tour in the Library. Summer was a wonderful host. She was very knowledgeable and made the tasting quite fun for all of us. The tasting was well worth the tasting price. We became members and are looking forward to receiving our new wine as well as visiting again in the future. And hopefully seeing Summer again! Thank you!Written December 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- beachgoer20215 contributionsMany wonderful tasting rooms and wineries in Santa Ynez valley -- this one is the best! The passion for making great wines that bottle the sun, soil and breezy climate of this special area is shared by everyone at McKinney, especially Matt McKinney, who often leads the tours and tastings. The wine is just fantastic, pretty exclusive and a delicious treat every time we open a bottle. Did I mention the dogs? And the goats? If you are lucky you might even get to meet Matt's parents, who live in the big house at the vineyard and have helped him build the business. (Check out the port named for his grandpa. It's great.) All of the wines are great; the Pinot, Queen Chardonnay and Tuscan Nights are our favorites.Written June 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Every time we go, we leave with excellent wines (the zinfandel is simply amazing) but also with a deep respect for the owner/wine maker Ross Rankin. Ross's knowledge of wine is phenomenal, and he happily shares it with a quick wit and enthusiasm. We always look forward to his pouring of wine and tolling us more about it. What a great combo: fine wines and great insights!Written July 17, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
