I was a member at Grant James for a couple of years. Absolutely LOVE the view, LOVE the owners, LOVE the wines ❤️ Always welcoming, there's just something special about this place. Everyone I ever brought with me loved the wine and winery too. Definitely one of the best tasting wines in Ramona.

My mom and I were looking for the perfect sunny spot to enjoy some wine, beauty, lunch and live music and found all of this ar Turtle Rock Ridge Winery in Ramona. Such a beautiful setting with flowers surrounding the patio and the vineyards too. Delicious fresh BBQ food by local chef , or bring your own picnic . They feature various sangrias too ! We loved everything about the winery- and especially our wine server HOLLY - so helpful, and a delight - I believe we met both owners who were so kind too ! We will be back- cold in San Diego and a beautiful 82 at the winery !

This was the perfect Sunday vibe. A quick and beautiful drive out from SD lands you at the Chuparosa tasting room where you are greeted by Carolyn who ushers you in, makes you feel welcome, and immediately tells you, “there are no rules here. Enjoy the wine!”

And that’s exactly what we did.

Favorites included the Albariño, Sangiovese, and red blend. Make sure you don’t miss the zin x zin either.

Great quality wine, conversation, and surroundings make this vineyard a “must do” in SD/Ramona.

A very pleasant surprise for this a bit out of the way winery. Just off the 78 and up a dirt road will bring you to the tasting room. Due to COVID, you need to make a reservation. A wide range of wines to try, via testing of 6 1oz for $14 or you can purchase a bottle. You can bring in your own food or order a box lunch a day in advance. Pretty grounds for a short stroll among the vineyard or olive trees.
Worth the trip for a quiet weekend afternoon, the staff is helpful to make selections.

The new management fell short on the food quality. I brought two friends to impress them with the fabulous bread with olive oil and balsamic. I was so embarrassed.
The wine and sculpture garden are still stellar. Just don't come hungry and you'll have a superlative experience.
Can't recall when I was there last. Shortly after the owner passed. Wish he was still in charge.

Bocci Ball, Pizza, Natural Wine, Italian Family, Peacocks and Christmas Trees just about sums up this rustic winery in Ramona.

We purchased a wine-tasting each and sat and relaxed in the un-fussy surroundings of this spacious outdoor family-owned winery.

Their unfiltered wines are natural and don't have sulfites. They may be a little different to what you're used to. I can't say I really loved any of them personally, but it was interesting to try something different and the pourer explained a little bit about each wine which added to the experience. I felt the pours were on the small side for $18.50 a flight.

There's plenty of seating, some shaded some not. You can sit and admire the view and watch the peacocks roam freely. Bottles of wine available for purchase.

The Italian family and employees are warm and friendly and were available to chat and tell us about their 'wine journey'.

Also on site is a bocci ball court and a Christmas tree farm.

I felt this winery has the potential to grow and be a lot more. It's slightly rough around the edges, but that's what adds to the charm. Give it a try!

Free parking. Only open on weekends.

What a great experience my girlfriends and I had today. A beautiful day to visit this award winning only San Diego County sustainable winery. Teri the owner gave us the private VIP tour through the vineyard and wine production rooms. Each wine tasting came with her expert explanation of the history and details. I was so impressed with these wines I became a club member. Also because of the inviting outdoor patio with music which is offered Fridays Saturdays and Sundays. Come enjoy for the day or a special celebration.

This was the perfect Sunday vibe. A quick and beautiful drive out from SD lands you at the Woof n Rose tasting room where you are met with one of the most beautiful souls I have ever had the pleasure of sharing wine with. We shared stories of wine, pups, and travels. Marilyn has such a warm demeanor, and is clearly passionate about her wine and her dogs. Two things we can definitely get behind!

Favorites included the Montepulciano and Puppy Love. If you love well balanced and smooth reds, you will surely love this vineyard.

Great quality wine, conversation, and surroundings make this vineyard a “must do” in SD/Ramona.

If you prefer red wines over whites, I highly recommend Hatfield Creek. We have visited most wineries in Ramona and these reds are the best! Good variety of reds, excellent quality, many to choose from. Interesting property with old antique artifacts. Comfortable environment for tasting.

Best vineyard and winery you could ever visit if you love nature. The owner was the nicest person, the view was breathtaking and the wines were amazing. Can’t wait to go back and stay for the sunset!

A great local place to spend a few hours. The owner was pleasant and a great host. Spent Monday afternoon chatting with the locals and having “Happy Hour” glasses of wine. The wine was delicious.
The only winery in town open on a Monday.

Lovely setting very sweet and kind employees. I wish we could’ve met the dogs but they were all at home with owners that weren’t working but it was a really nice experience and I really enjoyed the wines would highly recommend and look forward to going back.

Excellent wine, fantastic pizza and a delightful waitress, Christa. A bit off the beaten path... so not crowded. Great views from the patio.
