What travelers are saying
- Kcal22California1 contributionI stopped by on my way through town and enjoyed a solo tasting. It was a wonderful experience, the staff were very nice and interactive. I was by myself and Justin made sure to engage with me. He told me the background story of how the winery started which was amazing! I loved that I could hangout at any of the 3 tasting areas, or even outside on the patio. This winery is so relaxing, I’ll be stopping any time I’m in town.Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennifer FSanta Clarita, CA73 contributionsStopped here on our sidecar tour. The grounds are unreal with all the art. The wines were very good and our tasting was informative and enjoyable.Written September 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Colin FToronto, Canada1,253 contributionsLet's face it, the reason a lot of us ended up here was because Daou was fully booked. But you. know what? This is almost as nice. Calcareous has above average wines (the 2023 Chardonney was especially nice), a winery on a hilltop with a beautiful view and pleasant ambience. The server was also good. The charcuterie plate however was merely average. Some of the guests on this occasion were also boorish and I felt for the staff but they seemed to handle it with aplomb. With a little work, this winery could be exceptional and like a little slice of heaven.Written July 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gbgtjej72Gothenburg, Sweden94 contributionswe had terrace tickets which included charcuterie tray and optional alcoholic drink. Fantastic view over the valley and nice with open fires to keep warm at dusk. But the best part was when you went down among all the lights and were surrounded by everything, like a fairy tale!!Written August 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gabriella M2 contributionsKirk is the best in the industry! So funny, kind and extremely knowledgeable. Was there for a bachelorette and we had the best time. Definitely do the cave tour and sit outside. I will be back!Written September 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janet MCordova, TN818 contributionsThe vineyards stand alone at an elevation of 2,200 feet on Daou Mountain. This winery is so busy, you have to park your car and take a shuttle bus up to the tasting room. The views are stunning from the tasting room across the rest of the Paso Robles. But take your wallet if you decide to visit here. A wine tasting flight of 5 wines will cost $50.00 per person (no waiver with a purchase). We had two (2) wine tastings and ordered a Cheese & Charcuterie plate ($50.00) for a total of $150.00. We did not buy any bottles of wine.Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Janet MCordova, TN818 contributionsWe had a tasting of six (6) wines. Tasting fee is $25 per person but waived with a $100 purchase. We brought four (4) bottles of the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon ($56.00 each). You can also purchase a Cheese and Charcuterie Box for $35.00. A lovely place and atmosphere.Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kevin VLincoln, NE139 contributionsWe actually went to the tasting room in downtown Paso Robles because they’re open a little later. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The wines here are amazing, much better than what we can buy in grocery stores!Written February 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark MLa Palma, CA69 contributionsGreat place if you like learning about our country's history. Tons of interesting things to see here in addition to all the vintage and more modern airplanes and military hardware. The docents are wonderful. It is just a mile or two off Hwy. 46 East and well worth the trip. I look forward to my next trip to Paso Robles just to see what additions have been made, because they are always improving the place.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ed SMinneapolis, MN549 contributionsWe arranged a private food and wine pairing. We were is a lovely private room and we tasted their signature wines. Each wine was paired with a delicious food item. The wines were outstanding as were the paired food bits. The guide for tasting, Paul, was extremely knowledgeable. We would highly recommend visiting Adelaida and try their private tasting.Written August 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Em C28 contributionsWe recently went to Niner with 4 adults and 2 kids. The tasting experience was great for kids with the gardens for them to walk, delicious focaccia and ice cream! Kept them wonderfully excited and entertained. The wine and food at Niner is some of the best we have experienced in Paso lately and we bought lots of bottles.
Our experience was redeemed by our wonderful waiter Kyle who was super knowledgeable and told us all about the winery! Matt in the wine room was most helpful and accommodating as well. A shout out to Jacyln for being a wonderful hostess.
Our experience did not start great when we were berated and welcome with attitude by Caitlin for not booking the right tasting number. We had 4 adults tasting so that's what we booked but she made us feel quite bad and had a lot to say about not making it for 7. I'm in the customer service industry and was appalled by her behavior especially to a member of our group who's a wine club member.
Thankfully everyone else turned our experience around and we left thankful for stopping in!Written July 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I chose Tablas for one of my 3-4 wineries to visit on my first trip to Paso. Before I got there I ate at Bell’s in Los Alamos. Both my server and my dining neighbor (who works for a winery in Napa) said if you go to one go here. I can only say I loved every wine, I was able to take home the wines I wanted, and it was delightful.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
