We only had two days in Palm Desert / Palm Springs, and we were lucky to be there on a Thursday night, so we could enjoy Villagefest.

Parking was actually easier than expected, and we parked only a block from the Main Street.

The street is full of really good artists, with a huge variety of arts and crafts for sale.

There are musicians along the street, and lots of the restaurants were busy. At the north end there are many booths, with delicious food for sale.

The whole street was magical, and a great place to spend a few hours, and get some unique treasures.

Palm Canyon Drive is the main drag. It's clean and wide and traffic is steady but there isn't too much of it.

The Walk of Stars is a fun idea, but the "stars" were mainly locals who had done good deeds and who are not famous outside Palm Springs.

I know the desert well, but the gentleman working the desk had some great info. One i didn't know was about a 150 car garage undergroun in the heart of palm springs

I grew up in the era of Sonny and Cher and can fully appreciate the statue perched on the fountain in the heart of Palm Canyon Drive. Don't miss an opportunity to take a selfie with this iconic celebrity and former Palm Springs mayor.

We took a tour of the Frey house II during Modernism Week in Palm Springs. It was impressive, interesting, and well done. If you are interested in architecture at all, you will enjoy this tour. The view is spectacular! It is an amazing home built into the mountainside.

Our Lady of Solitude Church is attractive! It is a Catholic Church.

    There are statues.

    Nearby is a mountain.

The cross is on the top.

    The entrance is white.

    The roof is red.

The preacher came to talk with me. He was very friendly.

So fun to memorialize this iconic film star with a gigantic statue close to the Palm Springs Art Museum. I loved it! Don't miss it if in the area.

My day was sunny and bright with a light breeze. Made for a perfect day for this hike. Narrow trails and everyone was very mindful of wearing a mask as I passed. The flow of the trail was just perfect for my not so good knees.
