My lady fell asleep many times and it made me laugh. I think she was relaxed lol. I recently treated myself to a solo trip and stayed at The Avalon, where Estrella is located—the entire property is stunning. A few weeks before my trip, I called the spa to inquire about booking a massage and spoke with their spa concierge, Stephanie. She was incredibly helpful over the phone, through email, and in person when I arrived for my appointment. Stephanie was polite, knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. The spa itself is gorgeous—very clean, quiet, and with a charming retail section. My masseuse, Tiffany, was top-notch! As someone who gets massages regularly, I can confidently say Tiffany is exceptionally talented. She was intuitive, calm, and took her time, delivering one of the best massages I've ever had. This experience exceeded my expectations from beginning to end, and I'm already looking for any excuse to return. - Will G1 contributionThis is my first time traveling to Palm Springs. I had a foot massage and shoulder and neck massage here. It was very comfortable! The music here is very soft, the environment is very clean, and the smell is refreshing. The therapists are very friendly. I was delighted to attend Grounded Bodyworks while in Palm Springs for some time this spring. What a treat.
I spoke with the owner at great length before attending and learned so much about the reasons why she created Grounded Bodyworks - what a special human with a beautiful philosophy. You can tell immediately upon walking into the spa how much love is put into this space.
The entire staff is lovely and just wants you to feel welcome and amazing. The little details throughout, like the bag given to you to use throughout your stay between services is so extra and incredible.
The space is gorgeous with plants throughout and the COOLEST self care retail area.
I enjoyed a massage, facial and blowout. However one of us kept getting an error message when we tried to check-in online before our arrival, so we gave up and just checked in when we got there.
Finding the spa itself was also a bit of a hassle. There was no information about parking on their website, so we weren't sure what to expect. When we arrived it appeared to be valet only, so we waited for a valet to come to our car but all 3 of them were occupied talking to a single guest.
Once we finally got inside, no one greeted us and there were no signs for the spa, so we asked a couple people. Both ladies that we spoke to were friendly and pointed us on our way, but one of the gentlemen with them asked condescendingly if we had an appointment.

- Jennifer G8 contributionsAmanda was probably the best masseuse I have ever had - EVER. Both my friend I said to each other after our massages that our bodies felt different - better than they have felt in a very long time. And I am happy to report that I still find that my body as a whole feels better, less achy, less pops, better sleep. She is a true healer.
Amanda took her time, making sure that she was able to work the areas that needed working without concern for a ticking clock. The was professional, friendly and exceptionally trained. Her attention to detail and her knowledge was seemingly endless. She is a healer not just a massage therapist.
Safe to say that we will be your services every time we come to Palm Springs, which is usually a couple of times a year. You have a customer for life! I wish I lived locally to visit more often to help with my pain that most massages can not touch. Hot towels were a little rough. So relaxing before, during and after! Loved the deluge shower after as well as the champagne and chocolates. We were so pleased to be greeted with valet parking and had the pleasure of using the steam room, whirlpool and hotel swimming pool unlimited for the day. This massage made our trip perfect!
