What travelers are saying
- ColoradoMtsLafayette, CO164 contributionsThe best beach walk in Pacific Grove. Beaches to dip your feet into the sand and water. The beach at the south end is great for boogie boarding and cooling off. Busy on weekends.Written June 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kimberly Maness29 contributionsThis was a beautiful spot to visit. Sadly it was to cold and cloudy the day we went to swim but would have loved to been able too. Has restrooms and a little cafe. Beautiful scenery all around!! If in the area I would make sure to visit!!Written August 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cohomanSammamish, WA2,392 contributionsWonderfully restored lighthouse setup as a museum ($7 entry fee per adult). The grounds are also well done and quite beautiful. Amazingly, this lighthouse is still functioning and maintained by the US Coast Guard. Note, that most people think they have to park on the main street, but if you drive through the entry arch there is plenty of parking inside the lighthouse grounds. If you collect lighthouse stamps, you can get your book stamped at the gift shop in the small building at the rear of the lighthouse.Written July 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Timothy KChicago, IL297 contributionsThis is a terrific drive with lots of places to stop and take in the views of the ocean, bay and rock formations as well as some wildlife. We saw cormorants, seals, pelicans and even some deer.Written January 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie GNorth Port, FL288 contributionsReally enjoyed walking the seaside here, seeing the different plants, sea creatures and squirrels. A sweet little place for couples to take a walk in the afternoon if staying in the area. We loved staying at Lovers Inn right near here. Would definitely come back to this area in the future.Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jaskel08California355 contributionsThis was really interesting. Peak butterfly season is November and December….. weather pending. We were there in mid-February. There were still some butterflies out but not as many as I would like. There was a volunteer docent from the museum who was gracious in answering everyone’s question and pointing out where the butterflies are.
Entrance is free. The park isn’t that large….. and nor is the parking lot. However, parking is available on the street. Public bathrooms are available.
Definitely recommend bringing binoculars. Also, you may want to call in advance to make sure they are out and about.Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I wish I could say the same about the plaque. It is very difficult to read and was placed in a section that doesn't really stand out to passers-by. I took several photos and the one attached is edited so it's a bit easier to read the text.Written February 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Breath taking place. Wow. When I saw pictures of this place I was unimpressed. Then I dropped by, Wow. Pictures do not do this place any justice. You just need to see this place to really appreciate its name and enjoy the beauty in the surroundings.
A very small park but packed with Love.
