I love the clear directions on where to go for your seating. Lots of staff so you will not have any trouble finding someone to ask for help. Parking is expensive though compare to others. Seating typical, you will not be able to walk in front of people without them standing up.

Parking $40 - we parked at A6 and it was walkable to the arena. I suggest if you're okay to walk even after concerts, park farther so when the even is gone, it is easier for you to leave as vehicles will line up to leave the venue. Be smart where to turn but always be careful as people is around.

Much better than your average 'state' museum. Extensive galleries - I made only through the two floors that interested me most, and could have spent considerable additional time on the history floor (I started with art). It is open later Friday nights, and is something of a scene (in a good way - alive with activity). You can eat in the gardens, stroll outside, or concentrate on the exhibits. Something for most everyone. Now, the caveat: more than most (perhaps more than any) this museum is absolutely infected with PC history where virtually everyone is victim of something or other - generally white males. You can cry for migrants, immigrants, illegals, blacks, women, Asians, Indians, workers, farmers, pick a culture. So much hand wringing. History does not go mincely about - generally, whatver group is in power behaves accordingly - but they also manage to get nations built, railroads planned, cities erected, nature tamed, and sometimes even set up governments that generously give to those in need - at all levels. Rant over - don't let this detract form the genuine level of interest here - it is history, it is interesting, and if there's a heavy agenda, well - it's 2022.

This was our first time going to Oakland zoo. We’ve been to Fresno numerous times (also nice) and Sacramento once (average) and we were very pleasantly surprised at how nice and large Oakland zoo is.

Our friends told us they added the upper part of the zoo somewhat recently. You access it via a free gondola ride which is very nice and we could see Oakland and San Francisco clearly on the day we attended. The upper portion of the zoo has a lot of American west animals such as bears, bison, mountain lion, condors, bald eagles, wolves etc. The lower section has your African and Asian animals. They have giraffes, elephants, lions, hyenas, etc. Don’t remember seeing a rhino or hippo but otherwise they had most of the animals you would expect to see.

Also there is an area with some rides for kids that was reasonably priced. Our daughter rode the carousel once.

We went for free due to our friends being members but when we checked online for pricing it seemed reasonable. Around $20 I think.

This is a great way to travel across the Bay. It's fast and comfortable. You get some parking on the Oakland side and dropped off in a great area in San Francisco. And you can buy a drink on board!

Everyone loves to walk around the Lake and there is so much to see here, landscaping, water, good architecture. And lots of places to have a picnic. Much loved by locals. Be careful of possible crime.

After an all day meeting and while waiting for a late flight, I took a walk to Jack London Square. It offered very pleasant views of the bay. There was some food/drink options and benches.

I was there for a wedding. The architecture of the cathedral is incredible. However, there are structural weaknesses in the garage pillers and the garage was under construction. It was truly frightening to be down in the garage. I recommend street parking,if you can find it.

This cemetery is very popular with the locals who come here for the lovely long walks and the superb views of the Bay. Famous East Bay folks are buried here.

My friends and I had an amazing experience at Chabot Space and Science Center. We had a small group reservation at the outdoor observatory due to Covid regulations and the team at Chabot Space took such great care to keep us feel safe and comfortable, and enable us to enjoy the magic of our beautiful night sky. We saw Jupiter and it's moons, Saturn and its rings, Mars, the M15 star cluster etc. The outdoor deck is a beautiful space to safely connect with people, and reconnect with nature.

I remember bringing my children to Fairyland so it was a particular joy getting to experience it again with my granddaughter. She loved getting to experience her favorite nursery rhymes and fairytales come to life. I can still hear her giggles as we watched the puppet show. The staff were a pleasant addition, offering smiles and assistance as we rode the train and carousel. After 50 years Fairyland is still a magical place for young and old alike.

I can't say enough about the intricate details of this building. It is a must see venue. The stage is awesome as well. There isn't a bad seat in this theater.

$10 to take the dockside tour - when I arrived (a Sunday) it was just myself, the guide and a guide in training. The yacht - if you will - is not particularly luxurious (maybe an understatement) as these things go, but then it was designed as a working Coast Guard cutter, and retrofitted for FDR - he was, essentially, roughing it. Enjoyed an hour plus of wide ranging conversation all over the ship - touching on history and somethines just shared interest or a random commentary of the purpose and function of light ships (one docked nearby). Really, this could have been a one and done tour, but so much information graciously shared by my ex-navy guide that it really became a memorable experience. Well done, Sir.

Okay let me first say it’s a small lounge and the service is fantastic. The staff over the top amazing. But I have to take off points because literally they didn’t have any food. See photos. After I was there about 30 minutes they restocked the offerings but damn! Also no bathroom in the lounge. When they did bring out food, it was a bit of a mass rush and the portions were tiny. Also no dessert. I give 3 stars solely for the people who work there some who did their best to make it not suck.
