- Mimiinthecity0407Richfield, MN464 contributionsWe stayed for a week at the Welk Resort and visited Orfila upon recommendation of a friend. The wine was excellent. The scenery and ambience is perfect. A great place to stop and enjoy a bottle with friends while having relaxing and stimulating conversation.Written December 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mariasweden2015Sweden62 contributionsGreat little stop on our road trip! The car museum is great, and located in three buildings. Note, there is some walking, and some steps, but fairly accessible. Beautiful cars and very well kept. Lovely walk through the vinyard. Nice terrace for a sit down or some wine. No options of zero suger drinks.. a little strange. Tried their Sangria, different, not a favourite. Some sediment in the glass and quite expensive. Agree with other reviews; go for the place and the cars, not the wine.Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bruce MIndianapolis, IN19 contributionsIf someone told me that I am too easy of a grader/rater, and that I needed to retract some of the 5-star ratings that I have given, I can tell you that my 5-star rating of Espinosa Vineyards would be one of the last ones that I would reduce. Not only is the setting relaxing and conducive to fellowship, but the wine is of a quality and on par (or even BETTER than) reds (or I should say, "tinto") I have enjoyed in AVA's that always seem to carry the bragging rights (and which put a much bigger dent in your wallet). Roberto has honed the winemaking craft and is sharing it with all who visit. He and his wife are friendly, warm and inviting. I don't feel there is any chance that you'll be disappointed by making the drive out here. In fact, I'm certain you will come away impressed - by how they have crafted the landscape and the wines they serve. I think I have a pretty sharp wine palette for red varietals and I rank Espinosa up there with some of my favorites - and most certainly at this price point (so yes, I bought 5 bottles - mostly Petite Sirah!)Written August 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheGentleHealthyTravelerPine, AZ38 contributionsI had a wonderful time there. Stopping for a much needed rest after traveling. I had a flight of whites, which was delightful and reasonably priced. The grounds were beautifully kept up and the view was peaceful as well. The owners were friendly...we chatted a bit and they took the time to tell me a little bit about their story and how their family came to build "the castle." I will be back! PS there are only snacks there but they let you bring your own picnic to eat with the wine which I did! :)Written July 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fumi MCarlsbad, CA12 contributionsRancho Guejito Vineyard might be the most family-friendly vineyard San Diego has to offer. It has a great staff, a knowledgeable sommelier, and tasty wine. They have live music to enjoy and a bounce house for kids to play in, and the hayride tour was a fun way to learn about the property's rich history. Not so hidden gem!Written June 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Scott Borgen34 contributionsGreat wines, beautiful estate vineyard and fun tasting room with a large patio that's a perfect spot for a picnic. My favorite is their Cabernet Franc! - AnnandWinnieCabo San Lucas, Mexico128 contributionsGreat space, friendly staff,. But this is a retail environment. No pushing of cases or memberships. Full priced wines. Limited tables inside and out, but spacious. No restaurant menu, very little edible choices, but if you plan to reserve a table, know that you can bring your own food, including pizzas and cheese plates! Will return.Written August 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Katelyn RSan Bernardino, CA70 contributionsSuch a cute winery in the Escondido neighborhood. The wine list is limited but the wines are great. I love a crisp viognier.Written July 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chris G6 contributionsThe front of this winery is well landscaped with an open air tasting room. Our bartender/server was very nice and informative and let me and my wife sample a couple of wines before we chose our full pours. We had the Estate Rose and Celebrations red blend, both of which were very good. The best part of this winery is the view from the outdoor seating area. It is amazing! The seating area goes along the hill and you can look out over the valley below. There were even some hawks gliding through the wind as we sipped our wine. Beautiful!! We went to four other wineries in the area and there were other great views, but this one was the best.Written May 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CentralCoastWineCentral Coast285 contributionsI am so sad to see this winery has closed down. It was one of my favorite wineries, mainly because of its history and old world charm.
My parents used to love the Almond De Luz, which tasted a lot like Amaretto. Their Muscat if Alexandria, smelled and tasted like Orange blossoms, as we as Orange blossom honey.
It will be greatly missed.Written November 15, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We enjoyed a glass of primitivo with our picnic lunch. We sat on the patio facing the vineyards with a great view. The patio furniture was lovely with alot of tables and comfy padded chairs with tablecloths. Very bright and cheery atmosphere. The owner explained the family business. We also enjoyed their friendly cats as they roamed around the tables. We will be back to do more tastings next time.Written July 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - San_Diego_wine4 contributionsThis peaceful winery marked the beginning of exploration of the Highland Valley wine region. Breathtaking views on the way from San Diego. Was surprised to discover they had some award-winning wines I was more than happy to taste. Their upper room with an art gallery and plenty of space to sit or even lie down was so inviting - a perfect place to read, sip, enjoy a meaningful conversation...Will definitely come here again to recharge in the company of their wonderful staff. Exceptionally rewarding experience. Oh, and they have these cute goats with most touchable noses poking through the fence - adorable!Written September 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
