- Richard S3 contributionsstayed valtos ionian appts which was on the beach side of Parga - great appts for location /friendliness'/cleanliness etc - happy to stay here again - i was told off by owner on last day for using pool before 9am , in my defense as no kids around or party anoimals swim at 8am Quietly on my own i thought was wrong but - the pool is lovely with 10 beds/shade/table/chairs - we walked to beach down hill 10minutes to a nice beach , sunbeds ( 2+ 1 umbrella ) varied from £12-£15 euros , beach drinks £5 euros . food from £9 euros - up hill from beach to valtos ionian £5 but you need it in the heat
Town at night - leave appt then 200mts uphill then a nice slow walk to castle +66steps+down to town +harbour - really nice place , on way down a few nice restuarants , town harbour typical greek i liked it - far side of harbour +town a few livelier bars /tavernas - ask your tavera to book your taxi back 5-£8 euros back
if you have taxi down to town at taxi rank nic ebar (top cafe ) + up street by small supermarket a small bar with shy sport £4 euro a pint + you get a small greek mezze typle plater
Will go back+stay But schedule £20 euro a day for taxi to beach+back+town +back a lovely landlady+kids to greet youWritten July 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - K.Rhodes, Greece14 contributionsA very nice beach with sunbeds. The water is clear and the beach is pebbled. However, make sure you bring cash as they charge 5 euros for parking (and if you don’t notice that, they’ll chase you on a scooter and demand a payment). The only downside was parking (only paid parking). Beaches are public property and the paid parking just felt like a scam.Written September 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RexTsatsaroglouAthens, Greece327 contributionsPossibly the best beach between Preveza and Parga. The sand is white and the waters are sparkling clear and turquoise. They get deep after only a couple of meters, so if you have small children you need to keep an eye on them. Nevertheless, while the beaches further to the south towards Preveza are more wind-prone, Loutsa's waters are in general serene. There are organised parts with sunbeds (which are free, you only pay for what you consume from the bar) as well as plenty of space to relax away from the beach bars and their music. The beach is really long, and if you get hungry, just try one of the tavernas.Written July 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Natasha A2 contributionsNice pleace but the water is quite cold on the surface.Wide and calm beach. At night there was a lot of evaporation from the river and the sea,the humidity made it difficult to walk by the sea at nightWritten September 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - radu dan3 contributionsIf you taste a piece of Hedean you must spend fews days there. The smooth sand and wide long beach make you a Robinson Crusoe. Plus you find ouÈ› the waves sound along coast. Less people and buildings then you could image bring you in a silance and relaxing place you want. Crowded and noised acomodation miss all around there.Written February 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Claire SMaidenhead, UK47 contributionsThis is a really pretty beach, small stones, crystal clear blue waters and stunning hills and olive groves surrounding it. It's very Greek - little bit scruffy but masses of charm! The only concession which looked smart was the hotels (across from main car park) but all the sunbeds said reserved (which even by the afternoon were still not being used!). So we went to Alex's bar....... having read the reviews I was a bit wary. But it was great!! Maybe the others went on a bad day, but we had no issues. The lady was friendly, happy for us to go anywhere. We paid 8€ for beds & umbrella. I saw her cleaning the beds down and spraying after people had left. Shower was good, toilets clean and we had drinks and lunch in the bar - very tasty generous chicken ceasar salad and hot fresh chips. The young guy who served us was great, friendly chatty. We would definitely go back.
The beach wasn't busy at all (it was a Sunday and weather forecast wasn't great so that could be why it was quiet? And the weather turned out to be beautiful!). . Water was clean and very clear, there are some rocks to swim out to and the cove has rocks all around for snorkeling. You can see other islands from the beach (poss Corfu and def one of the paxos's!).
20min easy drive from Parga - last bit down to beach is steep windy and narrow - luckily we didn't meet cars going down or up!Written September 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nice for snorkling along the cliffs.Written October 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Pros
Caves to explore
It's not crowded because it's remote
Easy to reach and free parking
There is a kantina with cheap selections and decent quality
It has shade from the trees🌳 so you don't need an umbrella necessarily
It has a shower and a changer your swimsuit .
Cons
The cantina doesn't have bio disposable straws they had plastic
The beach it self doesn't have recycle binsWritten August 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Mihai_7Busteni, Romania14 contributionsGood place if you are young. There are many young couples.
Music a little too loud, but when i was there it was a party.
A nice beech bar too.
Good services.Written July 29, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Amalia DMaroussi, Greece61 contributionsOrganised beach with umbrellas and beach cafes. There are places which are more suitable for children with more shallow waters but also there are deeper areas. You can park your car under the shade of the trees. Prices are very reasonable (2,5 euros for an ice cofee abd a bottle of water, which also gives you permission to use the chairs. In August there are always waves after 3 p.m. so be alert if you are with children or if you aren't an experienced swimmer.Written August 14, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
