What travelers are saying
- CloudFrankfurt, Germany492 contributionsBeautiful island very close to San Diego, just over the bridge. From here you can admire the city's skyline but also enjoy the peace and at the same time a few nice shops, sip a coffee and eat a very tasty ice cream.Written February 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lucycanMinneapolis, MN3,167 contributionsThis is a great beach on the south side of Coronado island. Easy parking on Ocean Ave and you can walk to either the hotel or downtown. Well groomed sand and not overly busy.Written December 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

He does an amazing job every time we visit the restaurant. He truly gives 110%! He is very attentive and goes above and beyond. He deserves a promotion or a raise!Written January 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- lucycanMinneapolis, MN3,167 contributionsGreat beach. This is south of Coronado on the way to Mexico. Not much around. LOTS of campers. But the beach is great.Written December 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Trish MScottsdale, AZ21 contributionsEven though we're tourists, we often visit this library when we're visiting the island. - lucycanMinneapolis, MN3,167 contributionsNice little park in the heart of Coronado. Right on Orange Ave, the main street. The day we were there someone had a jumpy house. - stuffanyOrange County, CA42 contributionsMy family and I had the privilege to visit this beautiful memorial on Saturday. It was touching to see all the names of the Navy and US Coast Guard servicemen (and women) lost at war. Definitely a must see in the San Diego/Coronado area. (And TRULY a hidden gem!!!)
The other reviewers are correct that it is a small monument, but amazing, nonetheless. In addition to the wall, there is also a small monument (similar to a mini version of the Washington Monument), there are also 3 boats that were actually part of the part of the war!
Tips: Plan your visit in advance (www.VUMMF.com) because you will need an escort to take you! Please, please be mindful when submitting your request as the escorts are mainly retired Veterans who dedicate their own time and energy to making the tours possible. (They are also the same Veterans that work HARD at upkeeping and maintaining the Memorial. Thank you for your continued service!)Written April 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a small beautiful park that gives a great view of the bridge and the bay. It is a quiet place that has a playground, nice grass, and picnic benches. Nice place to relax and to propose to that someone special.Written March 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lucycanMinneapolis, MN3,167 contributionsGreat views of downtown San Diego from this park. The park is not very big and divides the water walk way from a residential area. You can take the path either way but its much longer as you walk to the southeast.Written December 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 10ringtravelerAlpine, CA606 contributionsVery nice park, large enough for soccer teams to play on full size fields, right on
San Diego bay and access to the bike path that runs all around the bay. Great views of San Diego and plenty of parking. There is room here for anything you want to do!Written September 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
