    Amazing printing machinery from the past that really works
    This was a fascinating historic collection of printing presses and similar equipment that you can see working. We learned so much from our guided tour (scheduled ahead on a weekday), including where the terms upper and lower case come from, moveable type was created before our eyes, and we learned that Gutenberg of necessity was an inventor as well as a printer (they have two replica Bibles). We peppered our guide, Madeline, with questions, and she knew all the answers. It was incredible all the work needed to set type accurately, and backwards for one sheet of a newspaper. Well worth a visit even if you aren’t necessarily into printing—we all use fonts now! You can even take home some printing souvenirs.

    Rebranded Dignity Health
    A few years back this StubHub Center was rebranded as Dignity Health Sports Park. Home to soccer, NFL Chargers, HSBC 7s Rugby, etc. Above average comfortable stadium and typical prices for food beverages and parking.

    Excellent Ciders and Meads
    Our friends pointed us in the direction of Honest Abe’s. I love cider and many breweries don’t make any. I was not disappointed! The cider selection was great and the meads were delicious! It was a great stop!

    Family-friendly go-karting with multiple tracks
    Go-karting for kids, couples, and corporate events. Came here on a Thursday around 6pm and there was no line. Free parking available in their own lot. There’s a Groupon available for a wristband deal or you can buy tickets per ride. If you want to ride the Euro Track (the faster one), you have to get a free “license” by taking a couple of supervised test drives around the track. There’s a food counter inside but it wasn’t operating when we were there. There’s also an arcade with games. Credit cards accepted. There are public gendered restrooms available.

    The go-karts are a bit dated but they were still fun. The regular ones don’t go too quickly and it’s kid-friendly. Helmets weren’t required but I would still suggest getting them. Bring sunglasses if you go during the day, as there’s minimal shade.

    So much fun, you won't regret it
    My husband and I did this over the weekend. It was so much fun!!! Besides learning a lot and getting to drive a beautiful and very fast car, Eric was fantastic. He was in the car with me for part of the time and then I followed him for a bit. This is not inexpensive but it's worth every penny.
